This card has been disregarded by many of the Pojo team but can be very useful:
Worldslayer (Mirrodin Rare)
Artifact - Equipment
Cost : 5
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, destroy all other permanents other than Worldslayer.
Equip : 5
This may look like a fairly poor card at first but has a
very big advantage. Take this example:
Turns 1-4 Defense Strategies such as countering and fogging. On turn 3 play Phantom Warrior or another unblockable creature.
Turn 5 Play Worldslayer
Turn 6 Equip Worldslayer to your unblockable creature
Turn 7 Tap all your lands, swing with your creature, blow up everything, and lay down the 7 mana fattie of your choice, such as Plated Slagwurm, Skyshroud Behamoth, or for some added fun play Sutured Ghoul depending on what you have in your graveyard.
Turn 8 Swing
The advantage of this over something like say, Upheaval is that you actually have a decent amount of mana to play something after it resolves. Sure with Psycatog you can get rid of all your cards in hand and graveyard but this is actually legal in Standard, so I'll leave people to make thier minds up about this.
