Subject: Sligh decks that aren't red-White Sligh by BMoor
This is the second in what I intend to be a five-parter about the Sligh deck working in other colors.  You may want to read the first article if you haven't yet. (dated 10.20.03).  Now, to run through a white sligh.  This won't be easy, since white is usually all about defense, not offense, but white also monopolizes on not tapping to attack, which rivals red's abundance of haste.  Normally Slighs can't block, but this one might.  Essentially, it'll probably resemble a White Weenie deck.

One-drops
Suntail Hawk-a 1/1 flier. Good.
Mystic Penitent-It can attack and block, and it has a threshold ability.  It's just undercosted.  And Threshold shouldn't be too hard to come by; your 1/1's and 2/1's won't last too long.
Glittering Lynx-Don't be dissapointed if it only attacks once before your opponent pays the two to kill it.  The point is that it made them spend mana on it instead of on their Shock, or whatever.
Most Clerics-there's a ton of white 1/1 Clerics out there.  Find some that are right for you.  Personally, I like Dedicated Martyr, who can give his all plus a going-away present, and Confessor, for anti-Mongrel tech.

Two-drops
Mystic Visionary-a 2/1 who can obtain flying.  Good.
Soltari Priest-all mono-white decks should have a Soltari or two.  Its shadow and pro-red keep it around for turns to come.  Burn decks hate it.
Soltari Monk-Pro-black isn't as useful, but the more shadows, the better!
Phantom Nomad-Usually thought of as a blocker for 7/7's, this thing can do well offensively.Just hope it doesn't get blocked much.

Three-drops
Haunted Angel-I wouldn't put four in, as being beaten by the tokens is embarassing.  Still good though.
Ignoble Soldier-again, you don't want it blocked.  It's starting to look like you'll want some mass evasion.
Jamuraan Lion-attack, or stop a blocker.  Your choice.

Other spells:
Glorious anthem-this is the card that 1/1's, white offensive decks, and WW decks live for.  Put 4 in.
Worship-You'll always have a creature in play.  Hopefully, it'll never be needed, but...
Ivory Mask-again, protect yourself.  That's white's main agenda.
Tithe-Get land when it's needed, not when you wanted to draw a Visionary.

So...21-24 lands, 10 one-creatures, 8 two-creatures, 6 three-creatures, 12-15 other spells, put it together however you like.  See?  Even white mages can bring the pain.
