Subject: type 2 astralrift ok, to begin: I like it that wizards has decided to return cycling to onslaught.it's a great mechanic and with this mechanic also come two great enchantments: lightning rift and astral slide. I just made a new type 2 deck that might be a good one. heres the decklist: creatures(5): 3 exalted angel (super angel!!) 1 terohs faithfull(great with astral slide) 1 goretusk firebeast (also great with astral slide) other spells(30): 4 lightning rift (key of the deck) 4 astral slide (key of the deck!!) 4 solar blast(super cycler!!) 3 wrath of god (clear the board baby!!) 4 renewed faith (staying alive) 3 lay waste 1 starstorm 1 burning wish 4 slice and dice 2 akroma's blessing lands (25): 4 secluded steppe 4 forgotten cave 8 mountain 9 plains SB(15): 1 wrath of god 2 auramancer 2 aven cloudchaser 1 lightning surge 3 aura extraction 2 disciple of malice 1 cop: green 1 cop: black 2 breaking point the main idea is to stay alive by removing your opponents creatures with astral slide or by clearing the board etcetera. you should cycle your cycling cards and kill little creatures and your opponent with lightning rift.the bigger creatures should be removed with the slide. you can also remove firebeast or terohs faithfull to kill opponent or to stay alive(they return at end of turn and their come in to play abalities work again), your angels are good for both defense and offense.hope this deck will work, I'll be sure to try it at my next tournament!!! merlin vandenbossche, nightmerre@hotmail.com
