Subject: Jon's Take article #2


Well, I was on a long vacation, but I am back with a
new Torment Top 10 (Final one, at that): The Aftermath
of the Release of Torment. So without further adue,
lets hit it:

10- Compulsion (GREAT card in both limited and
Constructed. broken, perhaps???)

9- Nantuko Shade (Its an ok card, but not the best.
Found out very quickly. Can you say Mono Black
only???)

8- Chainer, Dementia Master (Combos are popping from
every direction!!! ie: Unatural Selection just to name
one)

7- Ambassador Laquatus (Blue finally has a decent
creature!!! Mill decks are back and better than ever.
Have a deck built around this guy, a UB deck with
Cabal Coffers!!! See the combo???

6- Sengir Vampire (the Meanies in Black are back!!!
Oh, did I mention..... THERE IN THE NOVEL!!!)

5- Chainer's Edict (Wow, underestimated it until I
actually looked at it!!! Takes care of those pesky pro
creatures, and the flashback is nice, a little spendy,
though)

4- Shambling Swarm (My new "Black Voodoo Madness" Deck
has these, and they are great when combined with
Plague Spitters)

3- Basking Rootwala (I like these guys so much, I have
over 50 in my binder, including a foil one!!!! Can't
go bad with these little lizards with a madness cost
of 0)

2- TIED!!! Ichorid and Laquatus's Champion (Black
decks love this guy, specially mine :) Get them down
to 6 life using Ichorid to keep comming into play
using up creatures from the graveyard, then BAM!!! Win
the game laying the Champion on the table)

1- MUTILATE (My new #1. The Black Wrath of God. Play
it right, and you can leave your opponent without
creatures, and you with creatures to pick your
opponent's life down to zilch!!!)

There you have it!!! My FINAL Torment Top 10!!! Hope
every one of you have fun with these card, I know I am
already having fun, and winning, to!!!

former home state of Nebraska and to everyone in my
new home state..... MARYLAND!!! Well, I am off to a
Battle of the Bands, so Rock on :)
