LET THERE BE LIFE! by paul adam This is a deck that is built around an excellent all white strategy: massive life gaining! With this deck, it is very easy to keep yourself at twnty life or more consistently, while your wimpy creatures slowly wear down your opponents. The real Piece de resistance here is the Serra Avatar, if you get it out and keep it alive, you'll have the enire game under your thumb. If you get a hold of the Serra's Blessing, it will be practically unstoppable. Most of your creatures and spells assist in some way with life gaining and can generally hold their own in combat. The Warrior Angels and Sentinel act as your reserve power creatures, but look to the lesser heroes for most of your damage. Lands: -20 total 12 plains 4 forbidding watchtower 2 nomad stadium 2 remote farm Spells: -22 total 3 arrest 4 congregate 4 life burst 3 moonlit wake 1 serra's blessing //2 soothing balm 2 spirit link //1 swords to plowshares *1 worship *1 wrath of god Artifacts -3 total //1 braidwood cup *1 sentinel //1 angel's trumpet Creatures -15 total (+4 forbidding watchtower +2 sentinel) 2 coalition Honour Guard 3 pious warrior 3 radiant's dragoons 4 staunch defenders *2 warrior angel **Serra Avatar Best combo: Moonlit Wake-> Wrath of God -> Serra Avatar Kill everything, get two life for each creature, then slap down your giga trump card! Fun with swarm decks! Runner up: (see sideboard) Coalition flag-> Sentinel Ever fell that urge to never allow dameage from large creatures in? The cards marked with an *asterisk* are rares and should be the last step in building this deck. It functions rather well without most of them. Do not feel as though this deck will be totally unplayable without those Warrior Angels or that one worship, chances are your life will never be low enough to really need it. As for the Serra Avatar, it is a near locked in win for you once it's out, but don't rush out to plunk down the 20 clams for it just yet. I have only played 3 games with a loaner avatar and I only drew it twice, keep that in mind, it's one card in a deck of 60, if you rich suckers want two "goy gezunt!", as they say. Sideboarding The cards marked with a // are what I usually use as my rotationals, feel free to use others as you desire.Personally, I rarely sideboard anything other that colour hosers, otherwise, I find the deck gets less organized, having said that, feel free to add in more removal, more creatures or different artifacts. In terms of hosers, these are my suggestions: (I do not condone the use of CoPs, runes or wards in any way. HOSERS: 2 Warmth (anti-red) 1 Conversion (anti-red) 2 Defense Grid (anti-blue) 2 karma (anti-black) 1 light of day (anti-black) 1 absolute grace (anti-black) <> 1 kill switch (anti-art.) 1 purify (anti-art.) OTHER: 2 Pacifism 2 Coalition flag 1 Mirari That's my deck! Have fun meddling with it and making it your own. Remember, what works for one player won't for another and Rome wasn't built in a day- so patience, patience, patience! Live Long and Prosper! Paul adam adam8353@home.com
