When i was looking through the Apocalypse spoiler i
came across mystic snake, nice card i thought there
must be something to break it...

Then i looked through the seventh edition lists and
saw, Equilibrium and saw that they would fit perfectly
together!

For those of you that don't know this is what
Equilibrium and Mystic snake do

Enchantment

Whenever you sucessfully cast a creature spell you may
pay (1) to return target creature to it's owner's
hand.

Mystic Snake 1GUU

Creature- snake

You may play Mystic Snake any time you could play an
instant. ; When Mystic Snake comes into play, counter
target spell.

The combo is obvious, play mystic snake and return it
to your hand for a reccuring counterspell.

I sat down and worked out a rough deck which looks
like this...

3x Arcane Laboratory
4x Accumulated Knowledge
4x Fact or Fiction
4x Equilibrium
4x Howling Mine

4x Yavimaya Coast
5x Forest
11x Island

This deck looks good on paper and i would be
interested if anyone even playtest this deck.
