My life gain deck is built around the Zealots. Almost every card in the deck will gain life. Like most of my decks, this one uses cards that other people might shun. I built this deck for casual one on one play. I have played a few Multi-player games with it but it tends to make everyone mad when you gaining life almost every turn. It has a major weekness against decks with several flyers. About the only defense vs these types of decks are StP, Story Circle and Kor Haven. There are so many cards that gain life its kind of hard to figure out what to play with. I've found that this combination of cards works out well for me. But I'm sure it would be very easy to replace each one of them and still have an effective life gain deck. There really isn't a whole lot I can say about this deck. So without further ado, here is my Zealot deck and an explaination of a few card choice's. the Zealot en-Dal Deck 4 Zealots en-Dal 4 Wall of Essence 4 Soul Warden 3 Staunch Defenders 3 Vernable Monk 3 Auspicious Ancestor 1 Gerrard Capashen 3 Swords to Plowshares 4 Life Burst 2 Disenchant 1 Caribou Range 1 Angelic Chorus 1 Honor the Fallen 1 Rout 1 Story Circle 1 Animal Boneyard 16 Plains 4 Nomad Stadium 2 Kor Haven 1 Kjeldoran Outpost Honor the Fallen: I put this card in the deck because it gives me a way to deal with Living Death and other Recur decks. If you don't play against those type of decks that would free up a slot for something like Wrath of God. Auspicious Ancestor: Since everything in this deck is white, except for the land, it will usually gain me between 5 to 10 life all by itself. Just in case your not familiar with the card I'd better explain it. She gives me 3 life when she's put into the grave, from play, and I can pay 1 anytime a white spell is cast to gain a life. It only works once for each spell though. Everything else is kind of self-explanatory. Thank, Bob Pittman pittman@blueriver.net
