Apocalypse has come out with a lot of new and really good cards, and some cards teach us to use colors that don't show up in decks very often. Some of them are the Disciples, Sanctuaries, and Volvers. Lets start today with the Disciples. (this is only an opinion) Ana Disciple G Creature - Wizard U,tap:Target creature gains flying until end of turn. B,tap:Target creature gets -2/-0 until end of turn. 1/1 G/U decks aren't seen very often but the blue ability is a good one, and people are starting to use G/B for SpritMonger but the -2/-0 isn't really useful when u already have a huge 6/6 for 5 and some other special abilities, but it is good with other cards. Ceta Disciples U Creature (see above) R,tap:Target creature gets +2/+0 until end of turn. G,tap:Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. 1/1 A blue power increase and a blue mana producer is not something u tend to see a lot, but only the red ability in a U/R control deck will really see use. Personally I think the Green ability on the disciples is the worst. I think the mana abilities should be left to the green cards, and artifacts. Dega Disciples W Creature - (see above) B,tap:Target creature gets -2/-0 until end of turn. R,tap:Target creature gets +2/+0 until end of turn. This card is the kind of card that can settle who's going to come over the other. It can work in 2 situations of battle which is really good. For example u attack with a Flametounged Kavu and your opponent blocks with a 2/6 creature. In a normal situation your Flametounged Kavu would die, but u can use Dega Disciples ability and wither u can choose to save your Flametounged Kavu by giving them -2/-0, or u can give your Kavu +2/+0 and you'd both go. It would all matter on the situation on what would be better to do. Necra Disciple B Creature - (see above) G,tap:Add one mana of any color to your mana pool W,tap:Prevent the next one damage that would be dealt to target creature or player this turn. This card is the worst. The green one isn't really useful in any situation and the white one is only useful in a couple of situations but it doesn't really do anything anyway. Finally there's... Raka Disciple R Creature - (see above) W,tap:Prevent the next one damage that would be dealt to target creature or player this turn. U,tap:Target creature gains flying until end of turn. this one is pretty good. The white stands out more because think about it. Apocalypse came out with some amazing R/W cards and it came out with red cards that deal damage to every creature and player including you. So if u use cards that prevent the damage like white you aren't affected by it, and the blue ability can also come in handy.
