This deck had LOSER written all over it, but I didn’t
care that much. It won most of my matches at the league that morning, so I
decided to stick with it. One of the 10 and unders needed a Shelgon to borrow (I
had 3) so gave him that, and my league leader gave me a Manectric ex as a
substitute. So, my decklist at the beginning was…

So,
tournament starts 45 minutes late because 3 guys got their keys stuck in their
car and 2 were late and had said that they were. Still, better late than
never…So the 1st round pairings were posted and we
began.
Round
One vs. John F (15+, Magneton/Raichu ex)
This match
was over before it started. I couldn’t get enough energy of evolutions in time
and by the end, he’d taken all 6 prizes, I’d taken
1.

Round 2
vs. Owen (11-14 City Champion (last tourney), Crobat ex/
Weezing)
He couldn’t
get out many basics or evolutions, and I got a turn 3 Manectric with 3 lightning
energy to attack for 70 to his weezing to win.
1-1-0
Round 3
vs. Ross (
Easy
picking as I Rare Candyed to Manectric ex in turn 2, and beat his bench to
pieces and picked up the easy victory.
2-1-0
Last round
was coming, and I was paired with the
Round 4
vs. Alan (
He got out
a Deoxys ex attack on 1st turn, plus benched Solrock, Lunatone, and a
Defense Deoxys ex throughout the game. I had a Minun. That’s all I had. No good
trainers, no other basics (had Manectric ex in hand though) and he thrashed me.
Nuff said.

So, I came
7th overall. Not bad, but not that good.

real competitor in the 10-s that hadn’t qualified, so she was

(how come I faced all the Champions?!?!?)
Prizes (not
really, but POP boosters only gave me 2 more Plusles and 2 more Minuns, plus the
cards from the Rocket Boosters were terrible as
well).
