This was my first time at a new Nintendo tournament, and I didn't think I would do very well for my first time, as when I went to my first Ne-on tournament, I got seventh place. But somehow, I did well, and this is my story of how it happened. We opened the packs, and I got some good cards (Dark Celebi and Registeel EX say good to you?), but I didn't use many holos, but thankfully they gave out two Prerelease Swalot (uncommon), which we could use if we wanted, so I did, and it helped in my matches. It was very hard to make a good deck because I only packed four trainers (thank goodness one was Steven's Advice, an uncommon Supporter which let's you draw a card for each Pokemon card on your opponent's side of the field, as long as you did not have more than 7 cards in your hand when you played this card (including this card)), but the Pokemon were packed well. And without further a..... Adult Swim is on! That's.... oh, sorry I am getting off subject. Here's my deck.

Note: Energies: 1 = Colorless, G = Grass, E = Electric, P = Psychic, and F = Fighting.

Note: All Basics that evolve have 50 H.P., Spinda has 60, and Pinsir has 70. All Evolutions have 80 H.P.

Note: All Basics have 1 Retreat. All Evolutions have 2 Retreat.

80 H.P. Titans

Pokemon (15)

2 Chinchou (Electric, Pound (1 for 10), Spark (E1 for 20 and does 10 damage to two of your opponent's Benched Pokemon (your choice, don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon)

2 Lanturn (Electric, Poke-Power Energy Grounding (Once during your opponent's turn, when any of your Pokemon are Knocked Out by your opponent's attacks, you may use this power. Choose a basic Energy card discarded from the Knocked Out Pokemon and attach it to Lanturn. You can't use more than one of this power each turn), Lightning Strike (EE1 for 50 and you may discard all Electric Energy attached to Lanturn. If you do, this attack does 90 damage instead of 50 damage))

2 Baltoy (Fighting, Headbutt (1 for 10), Mud Slap (2 for 20))

1 Baltoy (Psychic, Psyshock (P for 10 and 50/50 paralysis))

2 Claydol (Fighting, Hyper Beam (P1 for 20 and 50/50 paralysis), Ram (F11 for 50))

2 Gulpin (Grass, Yawn (1 for Asleep), (G for Poison) -- the good thing is you can stack the Special Conditions))

2 Swalot (Grass, Amnesia (1 for 10 and you choose which attack the Defending Pokemon can't use on it's next turn), Swallow Up (G11 for 50+, If the Defending Pokemon has less H.P. than Swalot, this attack does 50 plus 30 more damage))

1 Pinsir (Grass, Poke-Body Crust (Any damage done to Pinsir by attacks from your opponent's Basic Pokemon is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance)), Sonicboom (G1 for 30 and isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance) -- the Poke-Body is like a resistance to Basics)

1 Spinda (Colorless, The Hula-la (1 for 50/50 chance of either confusing the Defending Pokemon or confusing Spinda and the Defending Pokemon), Flail (1 for 10x damage for each damage counter on Spinda))

Trainers (4)

1 Ancient Technical Machine (Ice) (Pokemon Tool (used as attack, discard at end of turn, etc.), Ice Generator (1, Discard all of your opponent's Trainer cards in play. If you do, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, during your next turn -- reminds me of Waboku))

1 Ancient Tomb (Stadium, Don't apply Weakness for all Pokemon in play (excluding EXs and Pokemon that has an owner in its name (ex. Team Aqua's Electrike))

1 Magnetic Storm (Stadium, Any damage done by attacks from Psychic Pokemon and Fighting Pokemon is not affected by Resistance)

1 Steven's Advice (already given)

Energy (21)

7 Electric

6 Fighting

6 Grass

2 Psychic

First Round: Me vs. (sorry I forgot) (???)

I am sorry I forgot what happened, but all I know is I won easily with Claydol and Lanturn.

1-0

Second Round: Me vs. Carlos (Lanturn deck)

I only got one basic. Pinsir. And he was only out for three turns until his Lanturn mauled me down.

1-1

Third Round: Me vs. Young kid (he said he's played since he was five but did not play like it, unknown deck type)

I remember Claydol getting him on the ropes the whole game, but I told him if he wanted to end because I would win in one more turn (because I knew if he K.O.ed my Claydol he would give me enough Energy to use Lanturn's Lightning Strike), but he said no, so after he K.O.ed my Claydol I sent out Lanturn to finish the job and draw my last prize.

2-1

Fourth Round (and the longest typed): Me vs. Woman (Basic Pokemon Deck)

This.... was hard for the first 12 turns. I had Baltoy (Psychic) and Spinda (active), and she had Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Baltoy (Fighting), but for 12 turns. TWELVE TURNS. I was drawing energy and trainers I couldn't use until.... dum da da dum! Baltoy came to the rescue (on turn ten)! My Spinda was constantly using The Hula-la to confuse the opponent. If it confused itself, I could retreat for Baltoy and stall, then retreat back. Once it had three damage counters, I started using Flail. I used Flail three times to get two prizes beffore it was K.O.ed, but then I had to stall for five turns until I could get another Baltoy (got heads on Psyshock three times). When I got the Baltoy, I got it out, and attached energy to it until the other Baltoy got K.O.ed, and the next turn I got Claydol out, and K.O.ed one of her basics, but I was scared. Why? She had Regirock EX on the bench with two fighting energy on it, but I noticed that I only had one Prize left, so I used Ram and won.

3-1
