20
4 Mareep [Genesis]
4 Flaaffy [EX]
2 Ampharos [EX]
2 Ampharos [AQ]
3 Cleffa [Genesis]
3 Scyther [Promo]
1 Tyrogue [Smash Punch of course]
1 Unown M

14
8 Lightning Energy [h0l0!]
6 Grass Energy

26
4 Elm
4 Copycat
4 Pokemon Trader
3 Double Gust
3 Switch
3 Focus Band
3 Pokemon Center
2 Town Volunteers

Here's what I had to play cause of lack of cards...

20
4 Mareep [Genesis]
2 Flaaffy [EX]
2 Flaaffy [N3]
2 Ampharos [EX]
2 Ampharos [AQ]
3 Cleffa [Genesis]
3 Scyther [Promo]
1 Tyrogue [Smash Punch of course]
1 Unown M

14
8 Lightning Energy [h0l0!]
6 Grass Energy

26
4 Elm
3 Copycat
4 Pokemon Trader
3 Double Gust
3 Switch
3 Focus Band
3 Pokemon Center
2 Time Capsule
1 Professor Oak's Research

People always ask why the scyther.  Here are all the reasons...
-Different type of energy is good for EX Ampharos.  [Doing 80]
-Has resistance to fighting.
-Only one retreat cost.
-Everything that is resistant to lightning is weak to grass I think

It's important to know how I play the deck I guess.  Well, an important thing I keep in my mind all the time, is "How can I keep as much energy in play as possible?"  It is key to winning.  So later I can use EX Amphy's attack for 80 a few times in a row, or to retreat when I'm out of switches.  Yea, stuff like that.

Alright anyway, the decks record at this point is 35-1 [before tourney].  It's only loss was from getting only a Mareep first turn and going second... And getting rogued.  And I have played against just about every deck you see in modified, including Nidoking. ;/

Round One:
Mirror Match. I had to play the only other Amphy deck in the tourney. Well, I tradered for the tyrogue early, because I know how much it hurts Amphy from experience on the other side. He was playing the Genesis Amphy.  The attack worked well for him, cause he flipped heads every time he used it, but my double gusts and switches helped out.  Anyway, I win fairly easily, although I was getting some bad draw.  I used Flaaffy as much as Amphy this game.

Round Two: My opponent played this Venusaur [Both Kinds] deck with Electabuzz's. He killed a mareep 2nd turn, but thats all the prizes he got. Once I killed his LC Venusaur with all 4 of his grass energy that was in play, the game was over. He couldn't get his energy well after that, because I double gusted whatever he attached it to. I win.

Round Three: I played against a Charizard + Boost Energy deck. This deck is alright and I played it for fun as soon as the AQ patch came out for apprentice, but anyway.. Yeah. Well, It was a close game. This deck is pretty good with time limits. It can take out big things fast, but in the long run, it's odds of winning... are lesser. Anyway, I just set up faster and won by one prize when time ran out. It was a good game and stuff.

BREAK: I'm 3-0 at break.... And my dad says I have to leave =/. You know, there was a blizzard coming. It seemed like no way I was gonna be able to finished, but somehow I convinced him to leave and come back later. Degenerate was about to withdraw me... for me. But yea, I spent the whole lunch break begging to stay here. Go me.

Round Four: I get to play Jason [degenerate91]. He's playing Dark Blastoise. Well I go first, but I mulligan. He has one basic, cleffa, and I have scyther active with mareep on bench. So I draw and I have 2 traders, some evo's and a copycat or something. I use the two traders, and I realize... all 3 cleffa's are in my prizes ;/. Well whatever. I took a mareep and a tyrogue, then I Copycat. I get one switch, play a lightning on rogue, send him up and say, "Hey look everyone, I'm about to rogue him." Roll two dice simultaniously... "4" and "10". He get's up and walks around in circles while I pat him on the back convincing him not to kill himself.... I win. =/

Round Five: I play against an AQ Jumpluff deck. It is so annoying. Anyway, I get the worst set up in this game. I can't get any energy or drawing. It's pretty terrible. He gets ahead by 3 prizes to none. But then when I get an elm and actually get the EX Amphy in play, things start to turn around, cause I was able to OHKO his Jumpluff's by doing 80, avoiding the flip. I end up winning by time with 1 prize left and 3 for him.  I needed one more turn to get my last prize.  Oh well, I win.

I am now ranked 1st. ^_^

Round Six: I play this game against a EX Gatr deck. Nice, I have a big advantage here.  Well, this game was kinda one-sided. He had to play with just his baby's after I kept double gusting his Gatr line. I won 6 prizes to 1.

Round Seven: I am the only one undefeated so far with 17 points, and there is no way I'm not #1 seed, so my opponent and I decide to take a draw.  He was playing Entei-Cargo.  My plan against those decks is to use EX Amphy as my main hitter, OHKOing the Cargo's and Entei's.

So at this point I am in first. Good times. But that usually gives you bad luck in Top 8. =/

TOP 8
Uh, I'm tryin to remember the decks in top 8. I think it was...
Ampharos [Me, #1 baby ;/]
Gatr [The one I beat earlier]
Jumpy [I Like SPAM]
Light Dragonite/AQ Espy
Kingdra [8th]
Alakazam [EX]
2 Entei/Cargos

First round of top 8: I play against Kingdra. This game was way too close. I flipped like 9/10 tails on baby flips, and he rogued my baby's like mad. I think like three of them, including one with a band his first turn. ;/ But in the end, I finally was able to kill a tyrogue with scyther, after missing so many times. Good game.

Second round: This is against the guy with the gatr deck again. I'm thinking, wow, that's great. We roll, he rolls 11 [12-sided] so I of course dont beat that. I get.... 5 I think. Anyway, I have one basic and that is mareep. Spectacular right? ;/. Well I knew at that point, what was going on. He flips his active over.. Tyrogue. Wow, shocker. He flipped for smash punch and what happened? Heads of course.

Oh well, I came in 3rd or something like that. It's all good. #1 seed and the only one undefeated before the top 8 is fine by me.  At least I'm from Maryland. We have problems with getting our Maryland people in top 8 in our own tourneys sometimes. >_< Now Respect Ampharos. =/

Props:
-The cool people I met. [Brooks, and the SPAM guy, and yeah, you people].
-The tourney directors [It was a great tourney].
-Ampharos.
-Jason and Max[x] (spell it right people, two x's =/).
-The guy who lent me some cards.
-The guy with Kingdra, being from Maryland also.

Slops:
-Baby Flips.
-The blizzard.
-Jason coming in 9th.
-The winner losing his binder.
-The deck's second loss, gained the same way. [FTKO Tyrogue ;/]
-The guy who rogued me leaving his deck [Mike has it now, so come back to the store I guess ;/].
-Mike not letting me burn the tyrogue after the gatr guy left his deck. =P

Great tourney.  It was run well.
