It’s been a very long while since I have played pokemon.  I have had to play hockey everyday after school and such.  I decided to go to the Super Battle Zone with my friends in Milford, Mass. Well I went to a local Dunkin’ Donuts, got my coffee and muffin, donuts will end up killing me, so I decided not to buy one.  We met at a local ice rink and headed on our way.

We got their about 9:15 and the store wasn’t open, we were not to happy at this.  So we went to a nearby Burger King and let my friend’s mother and her friend have breakfast while we sorted everything out.  We got our decks ready, except for the covers(needed for later story).

Fast forward, to the good part.  One of my friends tell me to go buy him some deck covers.  He tells me to keep the change… well after I buy the covers, I have 3 quarters in my hand an I see a dance game in the front of the store.  I decide to try it and I actually beat the first level, then Matt comes storming up the stairs, telling me how he only has 3 minutes to put his deck into covers.  We all help him and everything is fine. Here is my deck.

Match One-Can’t remember her name with jumpluff/tyrantitar?
Easy win.  Kingdra took everything.  All of her pupitars and larvitars and hoppips went real fast until she got a lucky flip with jumpluff and took out my kingdra.  Steelix took out the pluff and all of the rest of the babies with lucky flips.

Match Two-Barbara Geary with entei cargo and typhlosion
Good match, but 3 of my kingdras got killed and 2 steelixes, too.  Then it was rogue time.  I rogued her down to 2 prizes, but then she finally got heads

this time I didn’t know if I would make it into the top 8, I knew I had to win the rest of my matches or a lot of them at least.

Match Three-Mr. Soto Rainbow Deck
Excellent Match!  He had two Lugias that took only one kingdra, because of a focus band.  I took both of them with 2 kingdra’s.  He then attempted to Rogue my remaing kingdra’s, I flipped heads and took it.  Then he used ho-oh to take my two remaing kingdrs with that crazy rainbow attack.  By now its wel within 10 minutes.  I then take ho-oh with steelix, to even out the prizes and then time is called just b4 he said your turn.  I would have had to baby flip for the win

Match Four vs. Evan….? And his Light Ampharos deck
I almost rogued for the first turn win, but I didn’t so we actually had to play.  He got an ampharos out which took a kingdra after I took a baby out.  So then steelix made quick work of the rest, until another ampharos took him out.  Then my second kingdra took out the final kingdra for a prize.

Match 5 vs. Nick Chimeara with pokebody Golem
Good Match, he almost took out everything I had  but Twister took out the energy on the golems and then he had none.  I took the last prize just before time was called.  He is about 8 and an excellent player, I don’t want to see him play when he is my age.

Match 6 vs. Bob Clanan aka Pokedad with light dragonite
He is an excelllant player and an excellent guy.  I noticed the hockey hall of fame hat he was wearing and noticed my jacket that said the name of my high school hockey team.  We talked about how is son is doing in hockey and all that stuff after he beat the living snot out of me. Loss 3-2-1 10 points
Final Round vs. Pokedad’s Daughter forgot her name with grass deck
I had a steelix that just turned all of her stuff into mince meat.  I don’t like to beat people this bad, but I knew I had to because of the fact that I was borderline going to the top 8.

I found out from the head judge, a local guy to me and my friends that we all got into the top 16 and me and jared got into the top 8.

Round 1 vs Devon Mancini with victreebell
Now it was revenge time, the number one seed vs. me. He beat me last year with a magby on my fera so now it was time.  I knew he had grass  and unown M so it was iggly time.
First turn I got rogue and onix with a seadra (no horsea) so I trader for iggly and….BOTH OF THE F#$@%^& THINGS ARE MY PRIZES.  So now I get steelix up after losing an onix, I take 4 prizes and he took 4, then I rogue he victreebel, then he DOUBLE ROGUES MY ROGUE, I go crazy, he win after I stupidly slap down an Onix, which he frag traps.

I only get 6 booster and  jared ends up getting second.  So he gives me 3 which makes me feel a lot better.  He got the junior trophy and pokedad got the senior, so we all had fun, plus me and jared did a victory dance on the machine upstairs.
