POW (phycic, colorless)

6 total participants (i know that's very few-but please read anyways!!!)

This tournament was held in Ames, Iowa.  There were only six people (nobody
plays here anymore!!), everybody played everybody and the best record won.  
The tournament was standard with Neo Genesis Sneasel banned.  At the time of
the tourney I hadn’t played pokemon for a few years so I didn’t have any
cards past the gym challenge set.  I borrowed a few cards from my friends
and came up with a deck I like to call POW.  It’s not the greatest, but it
was made quickly and I had limited cards.  The idea is to stall with
lickitung/scyther until a chansey is loaded and then attack with chansey
using unknown n and gold berry to prevent damage:

1 x igglybuff (slowking stopper-I wasn’t sure what a slowking was, but I was
advised that they were vicious and that igglybuff could stop him incase

Round 1:  Me vs. Sarah with Chaos fire deck (ninetales, movie promo
moltres-very good deck)  She took the 1st 3 prizes with a ninetales.  I
finally ko’ed the ninetales and got a couple chanseys loaded up with unknown
n on the bench.  I took the next 6 prizes.

Round 2:  Me vs. Jon with psychic deck
Jon used movie mewtwo and a nasty combo with misdreaveous and the trainer
card ‘sleep’ to ko a few of my pokemon with perish song.  Luckily for me
chansey and lickitung are resistant to psycic, so as soon as he ran out of
‘sleep’ cards I finished him off.
Record: 2,0

Round 3:  Me vs. Nick with ‘fling’ deck (machamp from rocket series)
I am the only person that lost to Nick the entire tournament.  I got a
really crappy hand with only 1 basic.  He got out machamp and flung my basic
away.  I have no bench.  I lose.
Record: 2,1

Round 4:  Me vs. Ruth with speed raindance deck. (I am really nervous at
this point because Marc is still undefeated and my only chance is to win
this match and hope he loses)  Her deck is lethal.  We duked it out until we
each had one prize left.  I gust of winded out a damaged articuno on her
bench and attacked it with double edge for the ko. (phew!)
Record: 3,1

Marc lost to sarah (steelix against fire)!!!  We have to play each other to
determine the winner!!!

Round 5: Me vs. Marc with fighting/steelix deck (I had never seen a steelix
before this tournament, nor focus band nor gold berry- so I was freaked
out!)
This was a heated match.  He got out steelix fairly early on and stalled
like a mo, at the same time slowly destroying my arsenal of pokemon.  I
finally got past his massive 110 hp and his focus bands and ko’ed his
steelix.  Luckily he didn’t get out another one.  He only had 1 prize left
and I had 3.  Good thing hitmonchans are weak to psychic-gust of wind and
promo mewtwo saved my life!!  I knocked out 3 pokemon, barely pulling off
the win!!!

Prize: 1st place- pokemon theme deck, holographic mewtwo, box of little
Debbie zebra
cakes and 4 giant pixie stix
2nd place-pokemon theme deck and a few tootsie pops
3rd place-promo cleffa (pretty worthless prizes, but it was a free
tournament with only 6 people-so its cool;)
