Yes, it's a Wiggly deck with a dash of First-Turn Kill, Sponge, and some Haymaker denial.  So, how did it go?

Round 1

Does anyone remember the first round?  Nerves are tight, tension is high, and the world is a blur.  I was facing a sneasle deck with Grimer and Muk.  My deck showed an UGLY weakness in this game: No Gust of Wind.  I won after my opponent deck himself (by ONE card), but that oversight would come back to haunt me.

1-0

Round 2

My next opponent had a stall deck.  Onix, Steelex, Alakazam, Tentacool, and Metal Energy.  Remember that oversight?  It hurt.  By turn 3, I had a fully powered-up MP Mewtwo.  He, on the other hand, had Kazam (Base) on the bench with two Tentacools, and an Onix.  The Steelix up front took a full Wave.  By the next turn, 40 of that damage would disappear.  Energy removal prevented me from Waving every turn, so the damage would fade away.  With 5 cards left in my draw pile, I conceded.  I was locked and had no answers.  One gust would have killed the Kazam, and the engine would have stopped.

1-1

Round 3

We both started with one Pokemon.  Me with Erika's Dratini, him with Togepi (with metronome).  He Sniveled first.  I burned 75% of my deck with Oaks, Bills, and saerches to get out an Erika's Jigglypuff with a DCE.  Scooped up the Dratini, promoted the E. Jiggly, laided down 3 Pluspowers and KO'ed his only basic.

2-1

Round 4

This game was long.  It was a haymaker with Rocket's Chan, Rocket's Scyther, and TR Zapdos.  My Mewtwo and his Chan KO'ed each other, while I was having a fit busting through Scyther's shadow images.  Once done, Wiggly took over and finished the game.

3-1

Round 5

Top 8 go to the finals.  If you place Top 4 in the finals, you win 18 packs of Genesis.  5-8 win 8 packs.

I was currently placed 8th, taking on the kid placed 4th.  Here we go.

I go first.  I see Sneasle up front, and Buzz in the back.  I have my only basic out.  Erika's Jiggly.  I open with 3 Oaks.  After he mulliganed twice, I then had 2 Pluspowers and a CPU Search.  I Search for the DCE, put down the 2 Powers, put E. Dratini on the bench, and KO the sneasle.

His turn.  He promotes Buzz, puts Gligar on the bench.  RSA's my hand, and gets rid of the Narrow Gym I was holding.  Then he gusts out my Dratini and Shocks it. No Paralysis.

I attached an energy to Dratini and retreat.

I draw a Item Finder.  I Use it for one Plus.  I Oak.  I Item Finder for another Plus.  I Bill.  I get the Plus.  KO the Buzz.

He promotes Gligar and does nothing.

I draw.   After 2 Bills, I have 2 CPU Searches.  I use one for a Plus, one for an Item Finder.  Item Finder for the Plus.  Victory.

4-1, going to Finals.

I won the first round.  My opponent had a MP Mewtwo as his only basic, but no energy.

The second round, I went for broke trying to kill a Rocket Zapdos.  Nothing going.  I did 60 to it, but 40 disappeared with a Gold Berry.  Fossil Magmar and Electabuzz held me off until I decked out.

So, I Won 18 packs.  Not bad.

For Rares, I got a Cleffa, Metal Energy, Dark Energy, Murkrow, Sneasle, Skamory, Elekid, Energy Charge, and Meganium. Oh, yeah, and a bunch of other things not so good.

Props:  Wizards, for holding this Tournament.
Erika's Jiggly for being a bad Puff.

Slops:  Me, for not planning on Stall decks making an appearance.
My last opponent, for trying to weasle a win.
Sneasle decks. (Enjoy getting your teeth kicked in?  HA!)
