This is my first post to the Killer Decks section, mainly because I almost always use an Archetype of one form or another, and nobody really wants to see how to build a Haymaker...it's just been done too much.  So, I came across a deck that's fun, and competitive enough to take on the big boys and have a fair chance of winning.  The deck looks like this:

You'll Get Nothing and Like It

Pokemon-12 Basic/ 6 Stage 1
4x Promo Eevee
3x Dark Vaporeon
3x Hoothoot
3x Noctowl
3x Cleffa
2x Wooper

Trainers-24
4x Professor Elm
3x Professor Oak
4x Computer Search
3x Item Finder
3x Gold Berry
3x Energy Removal
2x Super Energy Removal
2x Nightly Garbage Run

Energy-18
18 Water Energy

Strategy
This deck is deprivation, plain and simple.  D. Vaporeon is there to get rid of energy off the active, Noctowl gets rid of any trainers that might help them recover from the lack of energy, and the ER/SER gets rid of energy if they try to build up on the bench.  The rest of my trainers are for getting the double evolution out.  Gold Berry is in there just because it's good : )  Wooper is there because of my severe weakness to Electric creatures, and he's really a solid card, especially when I have water energy to take advantage of Amnesia.

Well, on to the tournament report.  The details are a little fuzzy, simply because I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.  But, I think I can recollect a few matches for you.

Vs. Dustin with Blaine Deck
Well, this was a pretty short match.  His deck was entirely fire, and he didn't know about Cinnabar Island to protect his creatures from my Vaporeon.  Oh well.  Not much to say here.  He started with an Entei, I hit him with my Eevee and the Entei's power made him go back into the deck.  From there on, he just kept sending up small basics and I would use Vaporeon's Bite for 60 (due to weakness).  He didn't take any prizes : (

Vs. Kevin with Steelix/Electrode Deck
This is the kinda deck I'm built for : )  Add on to that the fact that he borrowed this deck from someone else, and it's an easy match.  He won the flip and had an Onix against my Cleffa.  He failed to hit me.  On my turn, I go through my standard deck searching, and get a bench with a couple Eevee and another Cleffa.  His turn, he just starts building his bench with Ditto, Voltorb, and Hitmonchan.  A few turns later, I get my D. Vaporeon out and it's downhill from there.  He never lands a successful attack on me because of Whirlpool's energy removing.  He gets quite a few hits on me with Hitmonchan, however, I countered it with Gold Berry, and again with an Item Found Gold Berry.  At some point in the game, I used Bite for 30 on his Ditto, then retreated in favor of my Cleffa.  That really impressed the others watching the match.  Doesn't take much for some, I suppose : )  When all's said and done, he hadn't taken any prizes, and I never saw a Steelix : (

Vs. Steelix/Electrode Deck's Real Owner
Well, this proved to be the most interesting match all day.  First turn, my lone Eevee vs. his Onix and a bench full of assorted creatures, including Mysterious Fossil.  He does Rock Throw first turn and hits my Eevee for 20.  Ack!  Hold on, little one : )  I run through my deck alot to get a bench of an Eevee, a Cleffa, and a Hoothoot.  I retreat in favor of Cleffa and Eeeeeeek!  He evolves his Fossil into Aerodactyl, and I tell him I get to use Chain Reaction because it is "placing a card" on Eevee, not evolving it.  I seemed to remember reading something about that on the Compendium, somebody please clue me in.  Anyway, he tries to evolve into Steelix, then I remind him that Prehistoric Power affects him too.  After alot of energy deprivation thanks to D. Vaporeon, he sends out Aerodactyl so I would kill it ad he could evolve into Steelix.  Well, it all goes well, except he sends out the Steelix with only 1 Steel Energy on it.  Well, down the Whirlpool it goes.  After Biting my way though the rest of the Steelix, I end up winning with only 1 prize lost.

Vs. Somebody with Venusaur/Nidoking/Nidoqueen/Jumpluff Deck
Care to take another look at that title?  I wouldn't either.  Needless to say, this wasn't constructed very well, and to make things worse, he informs me that he has 1 Trainer in his deck...Pokemon Breeder.  Certianly a good choice with 4 Stage 2's...but what do I know.  Well, Noctowl had a nice rest from his trainer stealing, while Vaporeon kept ridding him of energy, which he had plenty of.  The only Stage 2 he got into play was Venusaur, and he sent him out so he could "stall until I get something good".  Well, he might have used Energy Trans to build up enough energy to kill my D. Vaporeon in one shot, but hey...again, what do I know.  There wasn't much strategy in this game.  I just continued to remove energy while he waited patiently for his other 3 Stage 2's to float to the top of the deck by theselves.  Come to think of it, I don't think he ever hit me.  Oh well...I still congratulated him on a good match, anyway.  I attempt to be polite.  Four Stage 2's.....

Well, I played a few more matches, but they are vague and I won't bother telling you about them.  Suffice to say I went undefeated today.  I was certainly a good day for this deck.  However, I had a few post game ideas.

Dark Energy would have been helpful.  Whirlpool costs WWC...so the Dark Energy would have fit nicely there.  Making Whirlpool hit for 30 and Bite for 40.  Not a bad set of attacks.
I had some trouble with Eco Gym, so a Gym of my own would have been nice.  Chaos Gym would have worked well, since the only trainer I used after the initial set up was Gold Berry and the occasional ER/SER.  It fits the Trainer deprivation theme, as well.
I think Slowking may be a better choice than Noctowl, but I'm not certain.  It would require playtesting.  The fighting resistance from Noctowl proved useful, and being able to actually see the opponent's hand rather than just the trainers they play is useful, as well.  I suppose it would be a matter of personal preference and metagame.

Well, that's about it.  Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this report.  If you use this deck or something similar to it, or just have some comments, all mail is appreciated.  Stick a fork in me, I'm done!
