This deck uses the old school power of base Venusaur's Energy Transfer teamed
up with the doubling energy Power of Neo's Meganium Level 57 to max out the
Grass Energy on your Pokemon.  Get new (and possibly good) hands with Cleffa.
Transfer the Energy onto Exeggutor and Explode even the toughest Pokemon!

Keep the energy on with No Removal Gym and blow [up] the competition!  I was
a junior in my tournament play but I came in second place.  Anyway, here's
the deck.

DCI tournament results:
The tournament was hard to progress through.  Cleffa was almost not used at
all Using my power and skill to win, I flew through the first half.  I lost
in the last match, earning me second place.

Battle 1: VS John
John was a tough opponent for the first round.  He had a haymaker deck.  I
didn't need Exeggutor and beat him by taking my first 3 prizes, then he ran
out of Basics!  His Hitmonchan, Electabuzz, and Scyther were easy!  I
advanced to the second round.
1-0

Battle 2: VS Daniel
I couldn't believe I faced my best friend in the second round.  I whooped his
Damage Swap deck with my Exeggutor.  He was no match.  My advance to the
third round was my easiest match.
2-0

Battle 3: VS Jessica
My first female opponent looked like a rookie, but boy, was she tough!  Her
revised Rain Dance was a tough opponent, but good thing she had the Totodile
and Poliwag families, which have weakness to grass.  Exeggutor put on a show
and took the first 3 prizes until he was KO'd by a Vicious Feraligatr.
Meganium beat the Gargantuan Gator and won me the advance to the fourth
round.
3-0

Battle 4: VS Ian
My first 6 prize match.  Ian's Energy Removal deck had no match for my No
Removal Gym trainer and I won by a large margain in the prizes, taking all
six by the time he took one.
4-0

Battle 5: VS Marissa
This match against Marissa's Psychic Blast deck was hard, because I couldn't
get out a No Removal Gym.  I barely got enough to do a solid 100 with old
Exeggutor to KO her Kadabra, Hypno, Kangaskahn, and Mewtwo, taking 4 of my
prizes.  Then her Xatu confused my Exeggutor.  I was lucky enough to get
heads on the retreat and KO it with Meganium and run her out of basics,
winning me a trip to the finals.
5-0

Final Battle: VS Matthew
Another friend, Matthew was an experienced player.  He whooped me with a
burnout deck.  He didn't need to discard energy with Charizard because all
the energy was Recycle Energy.  He beat me before I could get out my stage
1's!!  I lost, gaining second place and a $75 membership card for the store.

Matt won the big prize, a BOX of first-edition Neo Genesis cards.  Luckily,
he gave me a Bellossom, an Azumarril, and a Lugia because he already had
them.
5-1

It was a great tourney and I hope there will be more in the future.

Props and Slops:
Props to everyone I challenged, but Ian Sucked!  It was fun.  They played
good and hard.  Most props to Jessica and Matthew.  Jessica put up a great
fight, almost beating me!  Matt beat me and there was nothing I could do
except grit my teeth and plot my revenge.

Slops to Ian for barely any competition.  Eggy whooped him badly enough to
dent the cards!  I feel very sorry for him.  I hope he gets better!
