PSYCHIC ASSAULT

Hi everyone at pojo! Me again with another killer deck report. I changed my deck around since last time , mainly taking out my Electabuzzes for more pokemon that easily take out Clefairies and Jigglypuffs. The strategy is still the same though. The idea is to get Mewtwo powered up first turn and attacking the next. Ditto and Gligar are here for backup. The players at this tourney are good, unlike mattress outlet. Anyway, here's the deck

I' v never seen this kid before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I started off with mewtwo, and a ditto on my bench. He started off with a articuno, and a benched squirtle. I go first. In my hand is an oak, some NRG, and a G.O.W. I used a G.O.W on the squirtle, and then I oaked. I got a decent hand , and then absorbed. He draws and passes. I use some R.S.A's, which I had been storing in my hand. I took away his breeders, attached a +power and knocked out the squirtle. He brought up articuno, attached an NRG, and oaked. He laid down 2 squirtles, and a lickitung. Again I striped him of his breeders, this time using a couple oaks and Item finders. Then I knocked out 1 squirtle. He sends out his lickitung and attaches an NRG to his articuno, and passes. I S.E.R the articuno, and knock out the remaining squirtle. He sends out his lickitung, and doesn't paralyze. i retreat for gligar and a few turns and full heal NRGs later, the lickitung is knocked out. He sent out some articuno's, but ditto took them out.

I'v played this guy before, so this shouldn't be that hard an opponent. He plays a mewtwo/hitmonchan deck. I start off with a soilitary ditto, him a mewtwo, and a TR mewtwo and hitmonchan on his bench. He goes first, oaks, and get a fully powered mewtwo. I E.R the mewtwo twice, and get a fully powered ditto. I don't have much to say about this battle, because ditto never moved out of the active position. His mewtwo's all fell to ditto.The only damage ditto got was from his hitmonchan, which ditto knocked out in two turns.

This was a short battle. He started off with some TR zapdos, me with a mewtwo. I went first. In my hand was an computer search, some NRGs, a E.R, a R.S.A, and 1 +power. I Searched for an oak, ravaged his hand, and absorbed. He placed an NRG on zapdos, and used plasma. I attached an NRG to ditto and psyburned. He used plasma again. I attached another NRG to ditto and knocked out the zapdos. He promoted the other R. zapdos, attached a +power, and knocked out my mewtwo. I brought ditto, placed down a D.C.E, and burnt his electric bird to a fine crisp. He sent out a fossil zapdos and stalled for a few turns using super potion. I played the waiting game, and eventually the flying yellow chicken went down in flames.

He started off with a scyther, and a benched hitmonchan. I had a lone mewtwo. He retreated for a jigglypuff, which he laid down, and pounded. I oaked, E.Red the jigglypuff then scooped up mewtwo, and promoted gligar from the bench. gligar took out the jigglypuff in a couple turns, only to be taken down by a wigglytuff. I S.E.Red the wigglytuff, and he did the same to my ditto. We sat for a while without NRG, and there was a lot of E.R, scoop up, and defensive playing. He was able to get his offence rolling faster than I did, so he got the upper hand. The game went back and forth with prizes, untill we were down to one each. I had just knocked out a scyther with my ditto, and he had brought out a damaged wigglytuff. He laid down a D.C.E on it, attached a +power, and oaked. I could tell he didn't get another +power or itemfinder because of the look on his face. He looked though his discard pile, and accordind to that, he had one itemfinder left. It was either in his prize pile or the last card in his deck. He took a chance and billed. It was the item finder. Dang.

Oh well. I didn't do to bad. I was in the top four so I got a nice prize. a base 2 starter set, 2 Gym Challenge boosters, and an oversized pikachu. My brother Nathaniel (A.K.A. bulbasaur 5) won a deck case, and deck sleeves. It was fun day, so thanks for reading.
