About 20-25 people were there.

Howdy Pojo! It's my first Killer Deck report in about a year now, so I felt
it was time to let you know how my new deck was doing. I've been using it
for about a month now, ever since the Pokemon League started back up, and it
works really well. Basically, you use Aerodactyl and Mew to get rid of
evolutions on the board, so Erika's Dratini can use its power without
running into a non-Basic Pokemon. Should you need to speed up the game, or
you get into trouble, Scyther and MP Mewtwo are there. I call it a Psychic
deck because that's the Energy it runs on (everything else uses Colorless
Energy to attack). I didn't battle that much with it this week, I was trying
to play-test the Koga deck that I'm working on, but it got in some play.
Here's the cards:

3 Aerodactyl
4 Mew
4 Erika's Dratini
4 Scyther
4 MP Mewtwo

4 Scoop Up
4 Switch
4 Potion
4 Mysterious Fossil
4 Profesor Oak
3 Bill
3 Computer Search

11 Psychic Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

Round 1 VS. Electric Bench Hitter I started with a Scyther, and he started
with a Rocket Magnemite. We were both stalling, but I made quick work of it
with Slash. Then he sent out a Fossil Raichu, and knocked out my Scyther in
2 turns. I promoted a charged up Aerodactyl and Wing Attacked for the kill.
He then promoted a MP Zapdos. I waited until he got a tails on its Lightning
Ball attack, giving him 30 damage, then I retreated to make way for MP
Mewtwo and Psyburned for a kill. He didn't have anymore Basic Pokemon, so I
won.
1-0

Round 2 VS. Strong Fire Deck
This was really the same kid, only this was with a different deck. The only
Pokemon in my opening hand were two Scythers and a Mysterious Fossil, so I
knew I had to get something else FAST. He started with a Fossil Magmar, and
quickly killed the Scythers without little resistance (I may have gotten in
one Slash in, at the most). I played the Fossil, knowing I had one turn to
get another Basic or I was gone. On my turn I drew a Computer Search and
went looking for a Mewtwo. He killed the Fossil and I Energy Absorbed, then
Psyburned next turn for the kill. He sent out Blaine's Magmar and used Lava
Burst twice to kill Mewtwo (He got lucky, having so much Energy on the top
of his deck). I sent out an Erika's Dratini, and he used Lava Burst again.
It would have hit for 40 damage, but the beauty that is its Pokemon Power
came in. Three prizes later, the Erika's Dratini stall had taken its toll on
my opponent, but he made a last-minute comeback with a Rocket's Moltres and
Fire Wall's recoil effect. He killed my current E.D. this way, but then my
Mewtwo Psyburned him for the remaining 40 HP he had left, giving me the win.
2-0

Round 3 VS. Weak Fire Deck
Finally, I fought the little brother of one of my old friends. He also had a
Fire deck, so I knew the strategy I should try to use. His deck, however,
was not as strong as my previous opponent, as I soon found out, so I quickly
brought out Mewtwo to Psyburn everything in 1 or 2 hits. He tried to stall
by retreating, but it was no use, and the six prizes were quickly mine.
3-0

Props and Slops Time! Yay!
PROPS to the kids I played. They took their beatings graciously.
PROPS to the editor of Mindripper Pokemon (Not an ad!). He asked me to write
articles for him, and the first one I did was about Erika's Dratini, which
led to the idea for this deck.
PROPS to Pojo, whose Deck Mechanic page helped me work out the details.
SLOPS to the kid I fought the first two times. He was incredibly cocky until
I wiped the floor with him.
SLOPS to the forces of the Earth that prevent every day from being the day
of the Pokemon League.

That wraps it up for this week, I hope to go undefeated again next time,
too! Since the tragic accident involving Spot the Bomb-Sniffing Dog, I can
only accept e-mail. But you can do that by reaching me at
simpson_fan21@hotmail.com. See ya latr, Feraligatr.
