Ok some of you may be wondering why this Sponge deck is completely psychic
energy. All previous Sponge decks ran Electabuzz also.  Well Sponge has been
left for dead in the new environment and me and my friend Joe decided to
revive it.  It has been said that Rockets Zapdos does better what Promo
Mewtwo does best. And to an extent that is true.  So the only way for a
Sponge deck to stand up to a Plasma deck is raw speed. That is the reason
for Electabuzz being removed. What! you may say, Electabuzz is extremely
fast. Well, yes he is , BUT he slows the over all speed of Sponge down, the
6 or so lightning energys can sometimes leave you with no psychic in the
graveyard. And against Plasma that is a bad, bad thing.  Therefore after
EXTENSIVE playtesting against my friends TR Zap, buzz, cleffa deck we came
up with the Reveloutionized Sponge.  The deck is designed to get mewtwo out
and powered turn two EVERY TIME. Sadly that cant always happen, thats the
reason we added other extremely fast Pokemon. One major change was Ditto,
who is faster than Ditto? Scyther was added for his free retreat mainly, but
he is a good last line hitter. And that is how we came up with
Reveloutionized Sponge.  Now on to the report.

Game 1 R Sponge vs Cory Prickett with Sabrinas Kadabra Deck.
I won the toss. He opened with a Promo Mewtwo against my Promo Mewtwo. I
computer searched with 2 psychic energys for a Golden Berry and oaked. I got
another psychic energy and absorbed. He got a SAbrinas Abra out on the
bench. I Koed his MEwtwo and he sent abra out with 1 psy on it. He flipped
heads on the attack  and did 60 to my MEwtwo.  I koed his abra for the win.
He told me after the match that it was a Kadabra deck.
Record 1-0

Game 2 R Sponge vs Andrew Peterson with Clefable Deck
This guy was from Indianapolis and I'd never played him, I was kinda scared
of his clefable before the match.  But anyways... I won the toss. We opened
with promo MEwtwo vs Erikas Dratina uh-oh. I comp searched with 2 psy got  a
Golden Berry and oaked, played a psy and did 10 to dratini.  He played a DCE
flipped tails on TS.  I started powering a second mewtwo up on the bench. I
then procedded to remove 4 DCE in a row from 2 Dratinis.  I Koed 1 and had 3
damage on another. He danced his guys around until almost everyone of them
had 3 or 4 damage on them, by this time he was low on cards and said hed go
out grecefully and oaked his last 4 cards away.  He was a very nice guy and
I hope he comes again.
Record 2-0
Ok by this time I'm fearing a match against my best friend Joe Turner, he is
running a Plasma deck and we have extremely close games.

Round 3 R Sponge vs Some kid with a fearow/ wiggly deck.
Ok I knew I had this one, running 4/3 Energy removals wiggly had no chance.
I started with Scyther vs Spearow, I played a resistance gym, retreated and
brought out mewtwo, absorbed. Every time he played an energy on his wiggly I
removed it, after 4 turns of this I had a scyther powered and a ditto with a
dce on it. His pokemon couldnt take the pressure, I just kept pouring the
energy removals on.  Eventually I took my last prize.
Record 3-0
Round 4 R Sponge vs Joe Turner with Plasma.
I lost the toss. We opened with ditto vs R Zap.  He did 20 I played a DCE
did 20, he retreated and sent out a buzz. I played another DCe one ditto and
gusted up R Zap for a ko.  He played an energy on buzz and did 10, but no
paralysis. I played a berry on ditto and hoped for tails on thunderpunch.
Tails, I removed the berry and 40 damage. He played another energy which I
SER'd. This was the good part of the match , after this is got bad.  I made
some dumb mistakes with ditto. See Ditto was a last minute change to the
deck and I wasnt used to playing him. What probley cost me the game was
retreating ditto with 6 damage on him. Somebody needs to smack me.  Anyway
Joe got a buzz powered up against my second ditto and did 30 to it, next
turn he retreated and sent up a cleffa for the benched win.
Record 3-1
Round 5 R Sponge vs Scott Palmer with Classic Hay.
Ok Classic Hay stands a next to nothing chance against Sponge, its not
bragging its a fact. Just a bad matchup for Hay. We started playing about a
second before the timer started and the guy who ran the tournament made us
reshuffle the cards and start over, grrr, had a good hand.  Ok we open with
ditto vs Hitmonchan.  He plays an energy and jabs, I play a DCE and jab.  He
removes the DCE and jabs, I scoop, send out scyther, retreat, send out ditto
play a psychic and a plus power for the ko.  he sends out scyther and plays
an energy.  I retreat , send out mewtwo and absorb, he plays another energy
on scyther, I SER them and gust up hitmonchan, ko.  He sends out scyther and
passes. After I do 40 to scyther and he doesnt draw a basic he picks up his
cards and says Good Game.

Record 4-1
Ok now at this point me and my friend Andy who also came to the tourny with
me and Joe has the exact same amount of points as I do, therefore we should
play each other and Joe, who is undefeated up till this point, should play
the person with the worst record. But no! The Tourney director says that
Andy and Joe should play each other! So that means even though I have the
same amount of points as Andy AND beat the person that beat him, I have to
play a match for 3rd place! I dont even get a shot at second! GEEZ!
Round 6 R Sponge vs Phil with Magmar/sneasel/ scyther deck.
He wins the toss.  Its scyther vs Scyther.  He plays an energy, I remove it,
retreat, send out Mewtwo, comp search for an oak, play a psychic energy, oak
, get a golden berry, play it and absorb.  He send out magmar, and smoke
screens.  I remove the energy and flip tails on screen.  he plays a dark
energy on sneasel. I remove the energy and do 40 to magmar, he plays another
energy on sneasel, I remove it and ko scyther.  He send out magmar and plays
an energy on scyther, I remove the energy and do 40 to magmar.  This repeats
until I have 1 prize left and he forfeits.
