I'm sure that all of you have heard of the show SURVIVOR. I named my
deck after that because of the people in my local tournaments are truly
something to survive. Picture it; 18 people at the local mall, competing for
pride and(while not a million dollars) some Poke gifts. Those 18?
Jill Hansen-Me. Being basically the only experienced girl there, I had a lot
to face.
Keaton- Some would say Richard Hatch. He's okay until you beat him , then he
resolves to calling you "Chump". Expert level player.
Larry Jr.-Ahh, my archenemy. After this tourney, he was well known as a
cheater. His skill lies in intimidation.
Larry Senior-Father of the previous mentioned if you couldn't tell. Once said
to some other parents "It's just a game y'know".
Danny- Really nice guy. Good player of Raindance.
Sean- Good kid. Maybe only ten, but he can pack a wallop.
Lucky- Expert player. All I can say.
Brooke- Daughter of the Store Owner. Only nine and they put her up against
Larry Jr.
Charles-Looks about 10, actually 15!! Knows how to use Kangaskhan well.
Paul- Good guy. Usually reserved, but pretty hyper today. Who knows what they
put in them Orange Julius's today!
and...uh.. people so ..um.Important, they need not be mentioned! (Unless I
remember them)

Round 1: Survivor vs. ??(SORRY!)with Electric.
Shuffle our decks, no cutting. I get Mewtwo. He gets promo Pikachu. I CPU
discarding 2 energy. Oak my hand away and get Electabuzz. I absorb and pass.
He attaches to Pika, recharges. I Remove one energy and Psyburn. He doesn't
draw anymore basics, recharges(?). I do what I have to, Psyburn for the win.
1-0-0
Nothing happened between matches and I went to see how many holes my mom
"burned" in her pockets.
Round 2 vs. Paul with Grass deck
While this was fuzzy, I know he used those Pinsirs, quite well. I had ditto
take out a few before it when down. He fought hard, almost decked, but I
managed to get all my prizes.
2-0-0
I will take this opportunity to skip the next couple matches as I have
no idea what went on. Did I write it down? HA!
Round 5 vs. Lucky with Trapper(?) or Haymaker.
It was a trapper last time, but I think he changed it.It was Scyther to
Scyther, with no energy. He laid a No Removal gym down. I draw. Oak! I used
that and used energy removal. He reminded me of the gym and I saw I had Mewtwo
in my new hand. I set the Kitty down and discarded 2 cards, energy. I sent out
the Cat and absorbed. He did alot of slashing, but Mewtwo held out. He finally
went down and I had to stall. With 3 cards in my deck, 2 in his, I saw a way.
I did a lot of Gusting with Energyless Hitmonchans previously, which wasted
multiple Scoop Ups.I was tied in prizes 1-1. I decked him and I still had 2
Nightly Garbage Runs in my hand!
4-1-0(The loss came from Keaton earlier)
I was quite nervous as the 2 Larry s were left. Of course Gym Leader Som put
me against Larry Senior.
Round 6 vs. Larry Senior with Haymaker.
Scyther to Gastly, Hitmonchan on the Bench. I place my Mewtwo, attached
an energy and Oaked. I absorbed. He Draws lays down an energy and Super Energy
removals me. For a few turns we do this Absorb, remove thing. He doesn't
remove this time and Says" GO." Then he says " oh wait ,
Oak." But since I draw my card, he lets me go. I so very evilly computer
search for Sneak Attack and get rid of the last card(Oak) in his hand. He
sneers," You only did that because I told you what it was." No duh.
I get a Plus power and take out Gastly. He eventually does get Oak and gets
some more Pokemon. Electabuzz and Mewtwo clean up and he storms off without
even a handshake.

I tell my mom about the victory and head back to see the result of my friend
Sean and Larry Jr.'s battle.
They had just finished. Eager to know what happened, I walk over to Sean. His
eyes are red, he's beginning to tear up. I knew it. Larry Jr. is the most
despicable person EVER.
Brief History:
I met him last year during a 2-week vacation. First day he wouldn't wait until
something was knocked out before drawing a prize. He beat me and I will admit
that I got teary. Losing wasn't the thing. It was losing and being HUMILIATED!
Of course Mr. Intelligent played me the next day. Clefairy to Jigglypuff. I
put it to sleep. He....Scooped Up??? His only basic. I won on account of
ignorance. He whined, the ref said it was up to me to decide if we played
again(Yeah, right) I said no, he called me chicken. Like THAT was gonna change
my mind.
Of course I had to battle him for third. I was scared.
Round 7 vs Larry Jr. with Raindance.
Everyone was shaking hands as this was the Final Four. When Larry stuck out
his hand, I shook my head. That ominous "Ooh" came from everyone.We
shuffled and handed over to cut. Knowing how he shuffled by placing the good
cards in the middle and bottom, I gave his a quick shuffle. He quickly
protested. Everyone else said I could do that. He called me a Female dog(I
ain't cussing) and shuffled and cut my deck 7 times. When he heard that he
made Sean cry, he said, " You gonna cry when you lose, Jill?" Well
we'll see just who cries. I said,"If I lose I know it'll be because you
cheated." Another Ooh and a name from Larry. Draw my hand, No basic. He
shuffles again and hands it to me. I get Electabuzz(oh joy). This match was
for the times he cheated, the times he hurt me, the times he hurt my friends.
I was merciless I took him out quick and he was mad. Yes Larry, Will YOU be
crying? I used that Electabuzz for the whole match. I also did this annoying
thing with Scoop Ups on my Lapras confused Buzzes. He NEVER saw Blastoise.
Keaton then stepped up to battle for 1st.

Round 8 vs. Keaton with Magmars.
He went undefeated and was so sure he would get me. I didn't care. My main
goal of getting Larry PO'ed was accomplished. Larry told Keaton to destroy me.
I beatdown those stupid Magmars because he had no Fire energy. I took out
ditto with Mewtwo. I had fun. When I won, Keaton said it wasn't fair because
he had been beaten by a 'Chump' player. Oh, so sorry.

Guess I am the real Survivor of this place. I hope I scared off the Father Son
team. Thanks for listening.
