Hey Pojo Maniacs. Tim here with my slammin' report of the Super Trainer
Showdown Qualifier tournament in Long Island. It took me and my Mom bout 1
hour to get there since I'm from Jersey. I saw some of my budds from Time
Warp (Jim, Steve, Cole) and chilled with them. I waited in A VERY short (?)
line. I cut :) with one of my friends (COLE) cuz he got there earlier :) heh.
I want to give Wizards some congrats on a VERY well organized event. I had
soooo much fun and I had a great time.
Well, Enough yappin' on to my report.
Dancin' Rain ~
Pokémon
4 Squirtle .... You know why
3 Blastoise ..... Proven ...well in my case and No, you don't need 4
4 Articuno ...... Basically the best WATER card ever...But high
energy to
power up.
3 Lapras ..... Sweet Mime killer. Nice Starter and all
around good card
Trainers
3 Breeder ..... Not bad...... 3 can work fine
4 Plus Power .... Great for 70 Hp Pokémon w/ Blastoise and nice
quick kill
3 Rocket's Sneak Attack ... I know it doesn't belong in Raindance but it's
SO good.
2 E. Removal .... Good to Screw opponent with
2 Bill ... Don't Rant on me and say that's too little .....It work's fine.
2 Pokémon Center ... The Best combo with Energy Flow. Saved me too :)
2 Energy Flow .... The Best combo with Pokémon Center
3 G.O.W. .... You see that Pokémon powering up on the bench??

Well,... This deck is sooooooooo sweet in playtesting that I figured it would
show me great results. I couldn't wait till the tourney started. I was soooo
thrilled that I felt like I drank 80 cups of coffee. I'm so Psyched. Let's
Get to it.
Round One vs. Some Geek who didn't want to tell me his name
I was waiting a little but he showed up before time. He told me he didn't
want to play and this wasn't his deck that his friend made it and made him
play.
He put his translations on the side before the match so I knew his deck
(Mewtwo/Scyther/Wiggly/Hitmo).
He was acting dumb because he hasn't played in a long while. He mulliganed TWI
CE which was not good for him cause I got Blastoise ~> Breeder ~> Squirtle
in
hand!!! I started w/ Articuno out and Squirtle on my bench. He had loaded
bench of Rocket Chans' and 1 Mewtwo He started w/ Jiggly. I had a few
energy
but got Blastoise turn 2 and took over. He thought he had the upper hand
until i attached Plus Power to Articuno Breedered Blastoise and Oaked :) He
stared in Disbelief. I killed Jiggly w plus power and he sent out Base
Hitmo
(???) I had Articuno out with 50 on him he jabbeb and I said RESISTANCE. He
turned sour. I then Dominated and took him out 6 prizes to none.
Win 1 Loss 0.......1-0
No Packs or Prizes ... yet.
YES!!!!!! So much nervousness lifted. I want to get at least some
prizes.
For Top 8
Round 2 vs. Andrew S. playing not that great Wiggly
I get nervous and well I do my best. I open w/ Lapras out Squirtle and
Articuno on bench. He has Jiggly out and Hitmo on bench. This kid was small
and had a cool voice. I killed his Jiggly wit Articuno loaded and Blastoise
on bench I just killed all his Pokémon and just dominated. He hated when I
had damage on everyone and then Energy Flowed and Poké Centered :) heh. I
love that combo killed everyone else and WON!

4 Packs!!
O Yea! I got to be feeling good now. So I wait and watch some other kids and
realize I automatically have 4 Gym Boosters already! My 3 friends all one
their first rounds but Cole lost to some A$$ w/ Dark Charizard deck
!?!?!?!?!? I battled that A$$ next.
For Top 4
Round 3 vs. Mike D. w/ Queer Fire Dark Charizard deck
I saw Cole and he said he cheats I said Ok He started wit crappy opening wit
me good. He had lone Fossil Magmar with my Lapras out and Squirt on bench. I
had 1 energy and went first attached water gun for 20. He goes and attaches
fire and smokescreens for 10. I attach and do unsuccessful water gun :( He
goes places Rocket Char on bench and smokescreens for 10. I go attach energy
to Squirt and Breeder. I kill Magmar w/ Lapras and he sends out Charmander.
and attaches fire energy to it and does 20. I go attach water and kill for
the win.
YES!
Wins 3 Losses 0 ....3-0
I get the Invite!!! 12 Boosters and a cool hat!
I wait and watch my friend Steve. He has Surge's Fearow and Surge's
Electabuzz deck. He finally wins and we are psyched we got the invite. Little
did we know we had to battle each other in the next round .....egh!
Semi Finals for last battle
Round 4 vs. My good friend Steve T. w/ Surge's Electabuzz/ Surge's Fearow
deck.
I know I'll lose cause of weakness but I'm thrilled I got the invite. We
start and I have Crap. He searches for Electabuzz and dominates. I was fine
and wished him luck in the end battle.
Well... Steve lost but he got the TCG for gameboy game!!!!!!!!!!! 28 packs a
hat and shirt. not bad for him
I go eat and then I go to the challenges. I decide to get a time card and go
to Surge's challenge. I realized then that it was so stupid. You battle three
times and get to be king of the hill ..........which means nothing. So I tell
my mom to go see if my name was picked to battle Very Goofy Impostor Prof.
Oak, Brock, or Lt. Surge. YES!! I say screw Surge's challenge I'm going to
battle one of the dudes. I chose to battle Lt. Surge dressed in an Army
Uniform who looks cool. None of the three have been beaten cause they all
have strong Haymakers but I go for it and Win. He was soo cool Lt. Surge.
Your not supposed to get anything for winning besides stamps but he gave me
two packs and some promos. He also gave me his John Hancock and I was off.
Thanx a lot Dude............Well, I went to the League Zone for a while and
then jetted out.
All in All I had an awesome time and I'm so thrilled I got the invite.
However none of my friends get the invite except me and Steve. Sorry Cole,
and Jim. They said they are going to go tomorrow. Also I got to give Wizards
some Gratitude for having a sweet tourney.

packs I got: Holos: Sabrina's Gengar, Lt. Surge, Rocket's Trap, and Misty's
Seadra.
Non- Holos: Surge's Raichu, Surge's Electabuzz, No Removal Gym, Brock's
Rhyhorn, Erika's Clefairy, Lt. Surge, Erika, and Brock's Zubat. Not bad
