Note that this is my first report on Pojo, and

Well…This was a truly unique experience…this was my first time I went to
League and I didn't even know if I'd get to play, let alone play as much as I
did.  I've made only a few changes to Chris's deck, mainly because it used to
be SO prone to Energy Removal and Super Energy Removal.  Well, without
further waiting, here's the new Buzzapdos!

12 Pokemon

4 Zapdos
4 Rocket Voltorb
4 Base Set Electrode

18 Electric Energy

30 Trainers
4 Scoop Up
4 Computer Search
3 Oak
4 PlusPower
3 Bill
4 Nightly Garbage Run
4 Gust of Wind
2 Challenge!
2 No Removal Gym (IMPORTANT!)

Note:  I took out 1 Scoop Up and 1 Nightly Garbage Run and added two Super
Potions afterward.  That is my current deck, not what I used today.

I played 10 matches today, although only 7 were with Buzzapdos.  I didn't
take names…too busy trying to get other matches.

Match 1:  Buzzapdos vs. Kid with Water Gym Deck
4 prize duel
This kid had a good strategy, but never changed it.  He kept adding energy to
Misty's Poliwhirl so he could flip more coins to get more damage (30 damage
plus 10x the number of heads).  I started off with Zapdos, added an energy,
and passed, with Voltorb and another Zapdos on the bench.  He continued to
add energy to his Poliwhirl.  The only noteworthy thing about this match is
that he did get lucky enough with coin flips to kill one Zapdos.  He never
put out anything else on his bench, so eventually Zapdos thundered him.
1-0

Match 2:  Buzzapdos vs. a near-mirror Buzzapdos Deck
4 Prize Duel
Well…neither one of us got any decent draws.  The match started with him
going first, Voltorb vs. Voltorb.  He attacked for 20, then I did the same.
I HAD NO BENCH.  He could have won right there, but he evolved to Electrode,
attached an energy, and passed.  His friend noted this to him…man was that
funny!  I attached an energy and passed.  He attached an energy, used
Electric Shock, and did 10 damage to himself.  I used a Challenge, because he
had gotten a Zapdos on the bench in the meantime.  I put 2 Voltorb and 3
Zapdos on the bench.  I used Electric shock and got tails, knocking us BOTH
out.  2 prizes left for both of us.
I powered Zapdos up with Electrode's Buzzap, and got going on the second turn
afterwards, thundering twice and using a thunderbolt to finish for the win.
2-0

Matches 3 and 4:
4 Prize Duels
These matches are unimportant strategy-wise because they were played against
little kids who didn't know much strategy.  The only reason I'm noting them
is for the win record.
4-0

Matches 5, 6, and 7 were with other decks, so I will omit them.
Current win record:  7-0

Match 8:  Me vs. Kid with an edited Brock deck
3 Prize Duel
He had several Pokemon out, I had only a lone Zapdos on the bench, and none
of my card drawers.  He constantly did 20 damage a turn with Vulpix's flare,
and by the time I got ready I had gusted for another of his Pokemon to knock
it out and get a prize, only to realize I had nothing else I could do and the
Vulpix finished me off.  No bench.  Ouch.
7-1

Matches 9 and 10:  Me vs. Kid with better Brock deck
4 Prize Duels
Man, did I make some dumb mistakes here…but it did prompt me to change my
deck.  The first match was him with a full bench with me with a Zapdos out
and Electrode charging up.  I used Buzzap too soon to get Zapdos ready, and
he finished off Zapdos and I had no other bench.  My unlucky coin flips and a
ready opponent did me in.
7-2

Match 10 was similar, him Flaring for 20 each turn, knocking out Zapdos, but
instead of putting Zapdos in, who is RESISTANT to Fighting, I put in
Electrode, who I forgot was WEAK to fighting.  He had a Brock's Rhydon out
and Fissured for the win, taking his last prize.
7-3

This did teach me a lot…I need to pay more attention to who I'm putting in
because it's easy to forget that everyone but Zapdos is weak against fighting
when Zapdos is usually out most of the time.  It also prompted me to add a
couple of Super Potions in because if I am very unlucky on the coin flips,
Zapdos's life span could get cut short.

Okay, time for Props and Slops:

Props to my mom for putting up with me liking Pokemon, even though I'm 17 [As
Chris says, editors always give props to their moms…]
Props to my Aunt Sharan for getting me to League
Props to the guys working there for giving me 2 Computer Error, 2 Promo
Eevee, and 2 Team Rocket's Meowth even though I never signed up or had a
stamped paper with me
Props to the 2 Brock decks for using Stadium cards, other good cards (Brock's
Training Method to name one), and knowing what they were doing
Props to all the card-drawers in this decks for almost always getting me the
cards I needed (except for energy in one of the last games)

Slops to me for making two really dumb mistakes
Slops to the second kid with a Brock deck for suggesting I turn this deck
into a dual-type
Slops to everyone who answers the phone at Toys R Us for saying they were full
