Here I am again with a new killer deck that I am sharing with the masses.
For those of you who have sent me mail regarding some of my previous decks,
thank you very much. I try to take the time to answer every EM but because
of my job (and other hobbies) I run out of time.  For followers of my
reports, I will have a deck construction special for you. It will include
just about every deck I have created along with the major decks that you run
up against. Plus it will guide you in building custom decks by comparing the
pluses and minuses of each deck, assign point ratings and compare them to
each deck included including others you have created. And here is the answer
to the question so many have asked .... I play a different deck every week.
Some are not so good, others are downright cool. Otherwise no one can
classify me except to say that I was a master of the stall deck (Before
Prop15). So here is my latest creation - SHOCK THERAPY!

Deck Breakdown
If you are playing remember that trainers do win matches. If you play
someone who has a typical deck and you have an STS deck, you will probably
lose. If both people have an STS deck, then the fluidity of the deck will
win out. Here is how this deck works:

* WB Pikachu is there only to come out and charge up. Can you imagine
your opponent with a full bench having Dark Raichu deal 30 damage to the
defending Pokemon and 20 more to each benched pokemon on turn 2? Or how
about Raichu dealing a guaranteed 30 damage with 3 benched guaranteed to get
10 damage with 90 HP on turn 3.
* Lt. Surge's Electabuzz works great with this deck. You bring in
energy from the discard pile and then Shock with 1 energy going to any big
Pokemon. I sacrificed them to build up Raichu, Dark Raichu, and Zapdos.
* Zubat and Dark Golbat. They are in here to counter Fighting Pokemon
and Water pokemon such as Gyarados or the Poly-family. You can use Scyther
if you want, I put these in here because of sneak attack and that nifty 20
to anyone attack. (A possible variant to the shock might include the Gastly
line)
* I would energy flow if I didn't have an absorber on the bench or if
I had a lot of energy in the discard then scoop up.
* Master Ball is the new improved pokeball. You look at the top 7
cards, get 1 pokemon card, and shuffle the rest back in.

Tournament Results
I had no idea what to expect from this tourney since it was the first STS
style tourney we've had.

Match #1 - Custom Fighting
Most of the pokemon he had were fighting. My weakness hurt me here. He would
use Hitmonlee to attack bench. I would put Zubat back and then he would High
Jump Kick. Guess it didn't help that those Gust of Winds he had came up.
This was the only loss I had.
Record 0-1

Match #2 - Custom Potpourri
I matched up against this deck a whole lot better. It was downhill after
turn 3 with Dark Raichu out and 3 Dark Golbats.
Record 1-1

Match #3 - Haymaker Deck
I started off in the whole when he used a plus power, GOW and jabbed my
Pikachu for the KO. I battled back until he made a fatal mistake that cost
him the match. Eyewitness reports claim this was the best match. Good
strategy, luck and a break with the match ending just before the 20 minutes.
Here was the final sequence - Me) Retreat Dark Golbat, bring forward Fossil
Zapdos. Attack for 40 to ditto (70 damage total) + 20 to 1 benched pokemon.
Zapdos received 30 damage. He GOW Dark Golbat?!? KO on ditto due to damage
v. HP. Bring forward Scyther and slash for 30. Me) retreat Dark Golbat,
bring up Dark Raichu. 30 to Scyther and 20 to 3 Pokemon, bringing Himonchan
up to 80 damage. Last prize taken.
Record 2-1

Match #4 - Custom Fighting
My quickest match. When he told me his deck was named Magnum Punch, I knew I
needed to put forward a Zubat. He had a Brock's Sandshrew. I go first attach
an energy and bite for 20 from weakness. He put an energy and defense curl -
FAILED! I then evolved to Dark Golbat and Sneak Attacked for the win.
Record 3-1

Finals - Custom Potpourri from Round 2
I was able to get Dark Raichu on turn 2 fully powered and evolved al three
Zubats by turn 5. From there it was take them out before the get three
energy on them.
Record 4-1

Finals - Custom Water Deck
This was a moderately tough battle. It was almost like a Raindance with
Misty's Polywhirl but without the Blastoise Line. Dark Golbat's sneak attack
x 3 took out 1 polywhirl while Dark Raichu took out the other. Then Zapdos
and Electabuzz took out the rest.
Record 5-1

Finals - Custom Fighting from Round 1
We decided not to hash this one out again so we split the prize. 5 Gym Hero
Boosters and 2 Gym Challenge Boosters.
