Hey, it's me again. Haven't sent anything in a while. In this post I actually
lost, but do to certain circumstances, it was Ok. No big deal. I made an
extremely weak deck for playetsting, also trying to make a deck vs. a kid who
challenged me; I made a deck that would hopefulley play well against anything.
No deck is this great, but I was hoping this deck would cut it. Oh well, I do
intend to play a much stronger deck next week, I really need to get a kick @$$
prize (like 4-5 Gym Challenge Boosters) because I really need 2 more R. Zapdos
for my Multi-Sponge deck... Anyway, the deck.

First off, the deck uses 3 types of energy and pokemon to give me benifets in
weakness and resistance. I found my choices were not the greatest in this
department. The trainers are somwhat faster so I can get ahold of more energy
and pokemon since thise runs 3 types. The energy si what I found worst about
playing, I could never get the right energy and most of it was in teh discard
pile early, then later it ended up in my deck (NGR) and I had not enough
pokemon (even after NGR, the pokemon were discarded). I do believe teh deck
needed 1 more Rainbow and 1-2 Scoop Up, which was not within my card pool. I
am searching for more though.
Match 1 vs. Andy with a Neo based deck
Breifing: Ok, his deck first contains Neo's which is illegal,
at least DCI ruling it is. He also saw my deck types first and made this deck
on the spot, with fighting for lightning which had resistance to fighting, a
few colorless with resistance to Psy, 1-2 psy pokes for psy, some Scythers for
fighting, and a Neo Evil evolution with resistance to Psy and no weakness. He
also has his brother or cousin or somethin whisper and sneak info to him
during the matches. I say nothing about it, if he has to cheat to win, then so
be it.
Round 1: Ok, this first game is a 6 prize match. I have
energy problems but do well, getting down to 2 prizes. After he keeps asking
how mnay cards are in my deck, he finally goes into stall mode and I deck out.
Oh well, I did good. Matches are 2 out of 3, so I can still play second round.
A lesson for beginners, don't darw to many cards if you ahve advanatge all
ready, they ahve teh possibilty for stalling and if they ahve a total lockdown
with resistance, it can break a game in a hurry.
Round 2: Ok, this time, I have confidence. I draw my hand and
it has 3 Oak. Oh God... I think I lost already. 1 Basic, I draw, Oak, do
everything I can possibly do, energy problems a bit, was sturdy but a couple
Er's did the trick. His brother or whatever, I blieve, informs him of this,
and he plays aggresively instead of stall, and has all 4 Evil Energy's within
half his deck, 1 in the discard, and rips through me. I played alright
grabbing 1 prize or 2, but I cannot recover at all. I lose again. It matters
little to me, I still get a prize later for runner-up, but I believe that
after that his ego got the best of him.
I played a few other rounds but they were un-important, I got the perfect hand
once against Austyn with a Wavemaker, and it wasn't 2 out of 3, so I won. I
played a Psy/Lightning deck that I had made for this kid, I am an ametuer
mech and he sent his dcek via email. His deck is as good as I could make it
with his card pool, so it was Ok. I won bceause of MP Mewtwo and R. Zapdos
also came through with a couple Ko's. They were both 6 prizes. I came
runner-up. I wrote out the battle in which I lost because I thought it was
something to read, I also made a few mistakes during the second game, I was
afraid he would stall and used my Finder for a Search for a Bill, but Oak
would have been better. Oh well.
