Hi! KarateKid13 here! I just decided that i'd make
a counter-sponge deck (no offense, scott!). Here it is:
Psycho Synchro deck:
Pokemon: (10)
2 Sabrina's Abra Lv12 (beat
those mewtwos!)
3 MP Mewtwo (if you
can't beat em, join em...)
3 Scyther
(jungle) (king of the proverbial mountain)
2 Chansey (base)
(take out those hay pokemon)

Well, there it is. My counter-sponge deck. I bet
you're either questioning my sanity, or realizing that sabrina's abra lv12 +
Energy Removal/one extra energy = 80 damage to MP mewtwo. Here's the report!
My little sister couldn't make it to the tourney,
so i was going solo. It was 4-prize single-elimination, with a gym heroes
booster box for first place.
Round 1: got a bye
(lots of people got byes on the first round)
[honorable mention: i went and watched two people with truly horrible decks
play against each other; it was a very scary thing.]

Round 2 vs. guy with sponge (wow! I get to test my
new strategy right away!):
First off, i RSAed away his hand, which couldn't
prevent him from top-decking a bill, which got him another bill, which got him
a CPU search, which got him an oak. After about 9 turns into the game,
i'd used my Energy Removal/Sab's Abra combo to KO all 3 of his mewtwos. I then brought
out my handy-dandy loaded chansey, and double-edged one of his 'buzzes for the
win.

Round 3 vs. kid with turbo nidoking deck:
He had a good deck! It was a good thing that
nidoran/rino/king were weak to psy, otherwise i would have lost! I had no card
drawing. Yecch. He got a nidoking, which KOed 2 of my pokemon until i top-decked
an oak, went through some of my deck, got some mewtwos, and KOed his nidoking.
It was all downhill for him from there, all i had to do was KO some nidorans
and a (base) koffing.

Semifinals vs.guy with haymaker:
Long story short, my MP mewtwo and sab's abra KOed
2 hitmonchans, and my chansey did a double double-edge (2 KOs) for the win.

Finals vs. kid with blaine's ninetales deck:
Ahh...how refreshing to see a non-archetype deck
in the finals. Well, he had those 40hp blaine's vulpixes...the ones that can
be taken out by MP mewtwo in one move. That tells you a lot about the battle.
He did manage to get a blaine's ninetales out, but it was nothing that chansey
couldn't handle. In the end i won.
