Tourney at neutral ground N.Y   5/25/00
Style: single elimination
Competitors: 10

Hey what's up. This tourney was the first chance I got to try out my
potpourri variation in a tourney. This deck did really well as I played the
many different decks that were at NG that day. I would really recommend this
deck to advanced players only as it is very card-finding intensive and it is
VERY easy to deck out! So be careful.
So here It is:

Pokemon:13
3 electabuzz
2 (fossil) magmar
2 (mp) mewtwo
2 ditto
3 scyther
1 kangaskhan (or chansey if you prefer)

Energy:23
6 thunder
7 psychic
6 fire
4 dce

Trainers:24
3 bill
2 oak
2 com. Search
3 item finder
2 energy reitrevals
2 scoop up
1 rocket sneak attack
3 GOW
3 ER
2 SER
1 gambler

Round 1
Against veteran poke player
Deck:psy with mp mewtwo
Game 1:
I started out with electabuzz and an oak. After a couple of turns I oaked,
com.searched for a  mewtwo and psyburned my way to a victory.
Game 2:
I had a scyther and com. Search. I com. Searched for an oak, got a
mewtwo, powered it up and with the help of my GOW and item finder I took out
all of his mewtwo's.After that my electabuzz's and ER's took care of the rest.
Record:  2:0

Round 2:
Against poke' veterans friend
Deck:grass/thunder
Game 1:
This wasn't much of a match as I quickly searched for magmar's and smog did
the rest.
Game 2:
I started with two magmars and a com. Search but barely any fire energy, so I
com. Searched and to my dismay I had forgotten my prizes.I told the guy and
he got an automatic win (in that game not the round).I have to say
this….disqualifying someone for something as stupid as forgetting their
prizes is cheap and discompassionate.
Game 3:
Again wasn't much of a match as I got my magmar's and electabuzze's out early
and it was light's out.He did however have control for the first coiple of
rounds as he kept paralyzing me with thunder shock.
Record:  4:1

Round 3:Semi-finals
Against poke kid
Deck: raindance variation
 Game 1:
His water pokemon had no chance against my electabuzz's as I quickly bille d
and oaked my way into a powered up bench.  Blastoise didn't even make an
apperance. I was careful to keep my magmars out the bench and used them and
their energies as sacrifice for my com. Searches and item finders.
Game 2:
This game started out very badly for me as I had my starting pokemon as
magmar.  after a couple of rounds  I oaked and found my electabuzz's. After
that the game was Pretty much a mirror image of the last match as his water
pokemon stood no chance against my electabuzz's.
Record: 6:1

Round 4:Finals
Against poke guy
Deck:(gasp)haymaker variation
Game1:
This guy was definitely no slouch as he quickly took advantage of the board
by using his hitmonchan's. I held off with scyther's until I had my mewtwo
out where his pokemon succumbed to psyburn's mighty power.
Game 2:
This was a pretty tough match as my mewtwo's were in my prizes. I did my best
with my magmar's and scyther's , scared of putting out electabuzz. I knocked
out one of his hitmonchan's picked a prize and behold it was my mewtwo. He
had jiggly's which kept my mewtwo at bay. I used that time to energy absorb
and after a couple of turns I had over 8 energies on mew two. The reason I
did this is that after I finished off jiggly I had SER to keep electabuzz at
bay. I slowly knocked his poke's out until he made the mistake of putting out
a machop, so I item findered for a GOW ,brought out my mewtwo and psyburned.
Game over.
Record: 8:1
Prize: 4 TR boosters
