Hey Pojo! First let me say that the tourney was hosted
by Phil's Hobby & Crafts in Wautoma, WI at 2:00 on Sunday, June 11th. The
tourney itself was actually held at a local Hardees. There really starving for
buisness eh'? Wait.... A tourney in Wisconsin? Now that's a
rarity! : )
This was my first tourney and it was an awesome
one! I got a first place! I was even more shocked because at the time, I didnt
have the cards needed to make my ultimate deck. ( Power Puddle 2K - coming
soon )
This tourney had some interesting rules. Let me
state them in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus format:

-Violatiors will be shot, then court-marshalled.
Yup, no SER. And Char is limited to one per deck.
No restrictions on Dark Char.

I cant really give you a play by play, but rather
a general report on what happened.
Round 1 vs Charlie w Fire deck
The first round was against my best friend. The
finals were held in 2 out of 3 style. This one was easy, mostly because he
kept doubting himself. He kept saying, "I'm not gonna win."
In match one, he brought out a Fossil Magmar and I
had a lickitung. He held me off for a while. Then I got a Breeder and a
Blastiose, do the math. I brought him out and finished him off.
In round two, I managed a second turn Blastoise,
and then he forefitted. I hated it. He kept chanting "I'm not gonna
win" over and over. He had Arcanine, he could have beat me, but he was
too busy being a sore loser.
Round 2 vs ??? w Fire deck
I was glad to see a fair loser this round. He
didnt get PO'ed like Charlie did.
Round 1 we stalled each other to death with
our lickitungs. Perfect. He gave me
enough time to find Blastiose and get him out. By that time I had weakened his
licky enough to finish him off with Blastoise. The rest of his Poke's were
Vulpicies.
Round 2 he managed to get his Ninetales out
extremely early. By turn 4 he already had already had 4 energy on him! Yipe! I
had my Lickitung out and Blastiose on the bench except with 2 energy.
Shoot. Then it hit me. I computer searched for a Prof Oak and got a Switch, a
Gust of Wind, and 5 water energy. yay. I stuck 3 energy to 'Toise, Switched in
'Toise, Gust of Winded his Ninetales and KO'ed it. He was mad, but not BARELY
as mad as Charlie. Shortly after, I cleaned up the field. Or should I say,
Washed It Away? Hehehe
FINAL ROUND vs Becky w Potpurri
And to imagine that for both of us it was our
first tourney, we had no tourney experience, and we see each other in the
finals. Go figure.
Everyone was tired, the Gym Leaders were falling
asleep, so they made this round a 1 round deal.
The battle was pretty heated for the both of us. I
had my Blastoise out and she kept switching in her Mr. Mime, then I would
bring out my Licky to counter it, then she would bring out Electabuzz, then I
would bring out my Blastoise, then she brought out Mr. Mime, then I brought
out Licky, and this process would go on forever....
.....Until I got my Chansey. Then she was trapped.
There wasnt much she could have done because either way I would have brought
out Chansey and Double-Edged for the win. She decided to deck herself with a
Prof. Oak rather than to have been beaten by someone. The said it was a
"thing". Whatever that means.
