Hi PoJo.  I recently fought at Toy's R Us at the Pokemon League.  There were many participants at it.  Id say about 25-30.  This Pokemon League was played outside for some odd odd reason.  But anyways, here is my Killer Deck Report.

The Perfect Storm-

Pokemon- 19

4 Squirtle
1 Wartortle
1 Dark Wartortle
3 Blastoise
3 Dark Blastoise
4 Articuno
3 Lapras

Energy- 23

23 Water Energy

Trainers- 18

4 Bill
4 Professor Oak
4 Computer Search
4 Pokemon Breeder
2 Nightly Garbage Run

As in most Rain Dance decks, the object of this deck is to get Blastoise out as fast as possible.  However, this Rain Dance Deck adds a new twist and challenge by having to also get out a Dark Blastoise as fast as possible as well.  Anyways, let us get to the main part of this deck report, the deck report itself!

Round 1 vs Some Annoying Little Kid with a Haymaker

This was probably my easiest match of the day.  He started with a Machop.  I started with a Lapras.  By the end of turn two, his Machop had 30 damage on it, and i had a Blastoise, Dark Blastoise, and an Articuno all powered up and ready to go.  I wouldn't need any of them however because my Lapras killed his lowly little Machop for my first win.

Record 1-0

Round 2 vs Jeremiah with a Mono Lightning Deck

This was easily my toughest challenge of the day.  As you well know, Rain Dances weaknesses are Mono Lightning Decks.  This one wasn't the best it could be, but it still gave me a few problems.  The first game against him, i murdered his lone eevee without much trouble.

Record 2-0

Round 3 vs Jeremiah again

This game was alot harder than the last.  He got out Dark Electrode, Jungle Electrode, Dark Jolteon and Raichu(Fossil).  He had me on the ropes before i finally got a Dark Blastoise and pretty muched blasted through his ranks unscathed.  It was a fun series.  We had agreed to play best 2 out of 3 and i put an abrupt stop to the series with this win.

Record 3-0

Round 4 against my friend Tom

This game was a little challenging because my friend Tom is pretty good.  He was running a mono Grass Venusaur deck that day and it had a 15-1 record that matched up pretty good with my own 15-0 record.  It all started out with tom starting with a Bulbasaur and me with a good old Lapras(I always seem to get Lapras as my only basic Pokemon, not a good thing against an Electabuzz!)  My Lapras used a first turn Water Gun.  The next turn, i drew Pokemon Breeder and then the fun began.  I used Pokemon Breeder to turn my benched  Squirtle into a Blastoise and piled all the energy in my hand on to him and then used Professor Oak.  I placed an Articuno on the bench, fed him 3 Energy and then used the last 2 energy in my hand to give Lapras the energy he needed to KO Bulbasaur.  Unluckily for me, Tom still had an annoying Clefairy to fight me with.  He used Sing for several turns, somehow managing to get heads and me get tails all the time.  When i finally woke up, Lapras was dead and the slugfest was on.  Blastoise vs 2 Venusaurs and a Venomoth.  Scary.  My Blastoise killed one Venusaur while my Dark Blastoise put the finishing touches on the second Venusaur and nailed the Venomoth for 50 damage as well.  When Dark Blastoise was dead, i used Articuno to Freeze Dry and successfully kill his only lone Venomoth to win the game.

Record 4-0

To make an extremely long story short, i destroyed several little punks who thought they could murder me with their pre-con decks.  Actually i beat 3 of them to increase my record for the day to 7-0.  I was tempted to challenge the Gym Leader but i actually wanted to keep my undefeated record.  All in all, "The Perfect Storm" is a perfect 19-0 in single match play.  I am trying to find somewhere to go to a Tournament but i just don't know where.  If anyone knows where there are tournaments near Rochester, PA, please email me at mysticmew1@hotmail.com and tell me of them.  Thanx!
