What This Deck Is All About:

When I saw this Strategy on-line at (shameless plug) www.pojo.com I passed it of but after being stomped by a Deck that used a high level of evolutions I remembered the AreoDactal/Mew idea and began to make this deck. Its purpose is to stop evolutions in their place and kill them with solid basic Pokemon so here is a run down of my cards and their purpose:

AeroDacytal: it Pokemon power paired with Mew is self explanatory but when you look past that you see a fairly good fighting syther. Great for killing those pesky Jigglys and other Colorless. Get him on bench as soon as possible.

Mew: Not really needed if Aero hits early. He’s an ok starter and works wonders on Blasstoises and Gyradoses.

MewTwo: One of the best cards in the game. Its great for killing the squirtles, Hitmon-anything, or ditto. A strong overall basic that I use to wipe up in Aero’s path.

Magmar: My other Heavy hitting Pokemon. I’ve always wanted to play this color but until fossil fire sucked. The ultimate Syther killer and good for wiping up Grass Decks.

Trainer: ER and SER are to stop most basics while I put aero on the bench. Fossil there for aero. Get out of here if you don’t understand Bill. Gusts are used to get out weak ones that I de-evolved and kill them. Pokeball and Gambler have been questioned by some but Gambler is to either take the early lead or to stall toward the end of a game and pokeball is a discard free way to find a Pokemon. They all work quite well with the deck.

Match 1:Me Vs. Some guy on the Internet

Let me make this short and simple. I Destroyed this deck. I had a Mewtwo and AeroDactal out on turn two (thanks to a quick computer search) from there on it was easy to burn away some MagicKarps and Squirtles for a win.

Match 2:Me vs. Scrub

As you probably figured out by now this guy was a newbie on apprentice, as shown by his not changing of his name. Anyway he was pretty crafty. He played with a type of deck I’d never seen before which through me off a bit. He used a Slam!, Wigglytuff, and A Dark Hypno to cause solid colorless damage. I read about this strategy of using Slam! To build up a bench and then attack I had seen this strategy  in a TopDeck but had never seen it at work. I declined all of his Slam!’s but failed to get out either Mew or AeroDactal in time to stop Wiggly from getting out. I took down wiggly with a MagMar and Hypno with a Mew. I just hit him to quick for his strategy to work. It was obvious he was new to the deck but with practice it could be a contender.

Match 3:Me vs. Ash

It didn’t take long for me to take the lead in this game. He was playing with a Dark Vileplume/Veanasaur deck. He started with oddish and me with Magmar and a fossil on the bench. He managed to get out Dark Gloom before I could pull aero out but ended up koing himself with confusion but he took Magmar out so I was sad. The rest of the game consisted of me koing oddishes and bulbas with a movie mewtwo. Yippee another win!!!!!!!!

Match 4:Me vs. UniversalJuan

I thought I was so screwed at the beginning of this match. Articuno vs. Magmar with Squritle on the bench with Aero no where in site!!! What to do?!?!?!?! Luckly I held him off with ER and SER until I got Movie Mewtwo on the bench. He Pokemon breeded his squirtle two turns before Aero hit though and koed Magmar. Then my saving grace, a SER. He was low on energy and was unable to attack me for almost the rest of the game. I keep him at bay with gust of winds, ER, and Mewtwo until. He brought out what he thought could save him a Jiggly. To bad I got enough energy on Areo to ko him in one shot. I brought back out MewTwo and continued to beat on 2 more Pokemon to scoop up more prizes for the win. He says he’s working on a deck to beat mine. I hope we can make one of those great rivalries that never ends. He says he’s determined to end my winning streak.

Match 5: Me vs. Yado

This one was pretty easy. He started with a Blaine’s Growlithe and I had a Mew. I won the coin toss and drew Aero and computer searched for Mewtwo. I had aero out on turn two and nibbled away at grolithe until I could secure a Ko with Aero he brought out jiggly forgetting his weakness to fighting and he was gone next turn. Then he brought out Hitmonchan but couldn’t get the energy to attack. I brought out Mewtwo absorbed and Koed him. He had no more Pokemon so I won this one real quick.

Match 6: Me vs Adriam (I think?)

I felt sorry for him. He had hitmon’s on the bench that were all Koed with Mewtwo. I won around turn 5.

Ok its been about 3 weeks and I am undefeated with this deck. I even won a tourney with this deck. Speaking of Pokemaster9999 needs to give me that Clefable for winning it.
