Hello to all the Poke maniacs out there it's
Special K! I recently finished
making a deck and went to the League in
Stratford at ToyWorks on May 16th,
where it performedd really well. Its 2 big
hitters are Hitmonchan and
Electabuzz, so I named it Thunder Jab.
Thunder-Jab
Electabuzz x 4 -Did somebody say Thunder
punch . Thunder punch can do 40
damage in 1 shot . If I was going vs. a
Rain-Dance deck Buzz would knock out
Blastoise in 2 shots.
Hitmonchan x 4 -Hitmonchan's Jab can do 20
damage with one energy. For 2
more energy's you could do a 40 attack. With
a high 70 hp this card made it to
my top 10.
Scyther x 4 -Scyther with a 30 attack also
has a resistance to Fighting. Scyther
can also take out some water and fighting
decks with that ability.
4 Energy Removal- Discard an energy card from
one of your opponent's
Pokemon.
4 Super Energy Removal-Discard 2 energy cards
from one of your opponent's
Pokemon.
4 Pluspower-Does 10 extra damage to your
opponent's Pokemon. Just enough
to knock out a Pokemon and get your next (or
last!) prize card.
4 Bill - In terms of cards, It's like getting
your next 2 turns early.
3 Potion-Let your Pokemon live until another
turn.
2 Gust of Wind-Take out the strong and put in
the weak.
1 Gambler- I don't normally like to take
chances on a coin but if heads you get
a good hand.
12 Lightning energy
12 Fighting energy
4 Double Colorless energy

Deal out as much damage in a short amount of
time as you can.
Match 1 vs. Steve with Oddish(Rocket)/Abra
Deck
I faced Steve before and his deck killed mine
but this time I would win. I start
with a god hand of 2 Hitmonchans,2 Potions,
and the rest energy. I win the flip
and put out Hitmonchan and him an
Oddish(Rocket)and Abra on the bench. I
draw a Pluspower, attach energy under
Hitmonchan and do Jab with a
Pluspower for a prize(Gust of Wind). He sends
out Abra and puts another
Oddish down. He attachs an energy to Abra and
attacks with Psyshock with a
tails. I draw a Gambler, put an energy under
Hitmonchan and Gust out Oddish.
The I use Gambler with a heads. I draw 2
Pluspowers, a Scyther, an Electabuzz,
2 Double Colorless energys, and 2 Fighting
energys. I put Buzz and Scy down
and attack with Jab and a pluspower for
another prize(Potion). He sends out
Abra and evolves into Kadabra. He put an
energy under Kadabra. I draw a Bill
and use it to get an Energy Removal and an
Electabuzz. I use Energy Removal
on Kadabra, put an energy under and attack
with Special Punch. He draws and
puts down a Chansey, which evolves into
Alakazam. He puts an energy under
and uses Damage Swap, and puts all the damage
on Chansey. I draw Energy
Removal which I use, then I attack with
Special Punch. He Swaps the damage
and puts an energy under. I draw Super Energy
Removal, put an energy under
and use SER. Then I attack with Special
Punch. He Swaps and puts down a
energy. I draw a Gust of Wind which I use and
attack Chansey with Special
Punch for a prize(Double Colorless). He puts
out Alakazam and puts an energy
under. I draw a Scyther, and attack with
Special Punch. He puts an energy
under and attacks with Confuse Ray with
heads. I draw Hitmonchan. I attack
with Special Punch and it's heads! I win!
Match 2 vs. David with Grass deck
I drew a good hand with a Hitmonchan,
Electabuzz,3 Fighting
energys,Pluspower, and an Energy Removal. I
send out Chan to his Grimer and
a bench Zubat.I won the flip. I draw a
Potion, attach an energy, and attack with
Jab. He puts an energy under Grimer and does
Nasty Goo with tail's. I draw a
lightning energy, put the energy under
Electabuzz and attack with Jab and a
Pluspower. I draw a prize(Pluspower). He
sends out Zubat and attachs a Double
Colorless to Zubat and does Supersonic.I draw
an Energy Removal. use it,
attach an energy to Electabuzz, and say his
go. He draws and says my go. I
draw a Gust of Wind. I put an energy under
Hitmonchan and retreat. I send out
Buzz and attack with Thunderpunch with a
Pluspower for the win.
Match 3 vs. John with Raindance
I draw 2 Buzz's,3 Lightning energy,and 2
Pluspowers. I lose the flip and send
out Buzz to his Squirtle and a Horsea on the
bench. He can't attack so my it's
turn. I draw Energy Removal. I attach energy
and do Thundershock with 2
Pluspowers.I draw a prize(Potion). He sends
out Horsea and attachs energy and
does Smokescreen with heads.I draw a Scyther,
attach energy and do
Thunderpunch with tails for the win.
