Rama Llama Comics, Plano TX
6.4.00
>90 Attendants, 4 Divisions

This is the first week I have attendend the weekly Sunday DCI Sanctioned tournament at Rama Llama Comics in Plano, TX in about 4 months. The tourney was divided into 4 divisions, My brother (Scuggin'), Steven (my friend), and I were in the 14 and up division. My other friend Kevin was in the 10< age group. We (the 4 of us, Team ECG), received 1st, 4th, 3rd, and 1st, respectivly. Domination...

Slow Breathing
2 Scyther
3 Ditto
4 Electabuzz

9 Lightning Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

3 S.E.R
3 Scoop Up
4 Professor Oak
4 Item Finder
3 Gust of Wind
4 Energy Removal
4 Rocket's Sneak Attack
4 PlusPower
2 Computer Search
4 Bill
3 N.G.R

Hay without Hitmonchan. Play like Necropotence.

Round 1 vs. Old School Hay

I had two Oaks first hand, and then 3 turns with no cards in hand. I top decked an Oak, and unleashed the fury of Slow Breathing. I won with 6 cards in deck.
1-0

Round 2 vs. Stall

I realized this was a stall after I had half my deck discarded. After his first few Scoop Ups and Pokèmon Centers, I decided I would play stall. Time was called with both of us having 4 prizes. Tie game.
1-1-0

Round 3 vs. Mewtwo

I wasn't paying much attention because I was talking to the girl next to me (Angel's Little Buffy) about her Biology camp, and then my girlfriend called:). This was Steven, and because I had beat him so much before, I thought I had this game before it started. He whooped me...
1-1-1

Round 4 vs. Grass/Psy

This guy was a cop (well, a bicycle cop in Hurst actually). He did some status affect stuff, and attacked a bit with Exeggutor. I won with Electabuzz. He had 6 prizes left.
2-1-1

Round 5 vs. Dark Raichu

I think this was his first tourney. I don't know why people use Dark Raichu and Promo Pikachu in this enviorment. Dark Raichu is great, but only if you can get the energy on it, which at this level, you really can't. BTW, I never saw a Dark Raichu. I don't think he got the right draws.
3-1-1

Round 6 vs. Stall

This was the same deck that I played in Round 2. I knew that in order to beat stall, you must play stall, so that is what I did. We went back and forth with prizes...back and forth with Scoop Up and retreating.... I lost having one prize left. My opponet had one card left to draw. Close game, and I think excellent stalling on my part with a deck that uses 4 Oak and 4 Bill.
3-1-2

My brother beat this stall next round, winning the tournament.

There was a lot of Chansey and Electabuzz. Props to Gordon Kane for his theology on Random.Scrub, and how he/she/it affects the enviorment, and props to that kid who traded me a Cool Porygon for my Charizard, which I later traded to Steven for some DBZ cards I needed. Slops to Random.Scrub for beating Gordon...it just ain't right.
