Hey guys, I just wanted to send this deck for fun, which I also played
for fun. The tourney was double elimination. It was 2 out of 3 matches.
The prize were: 1st place-10 Packs (American, Japanese, German, or
Dutch)- 2nd-5 packs (American or Japanese but only 2 Japanese packs
though)- 3rd- 3 packs (American and Japanese but only 1 Japanese if you
do get a Japanese pack). I thought my deck was just a joke but it did
very good considering it had no rares (Well maybe 1 but a bum like me
has to have at least one!). The Bum's Best Deck contains commons and
uncommons and 3 rares that I have but my friend loaned to me (Just to
make it look like I was bumming for cards). Well here is "The Bum's
Hay":

Pokémon: 16
4 Growlithe
3 Arcanine
3 Jungle Pikachu
3 Electabuzz (The rare cards)
3 Farfetch'd

Trainers: 21
3 Bill
2 Professor Oak
3 Energy Retrieval
2 Mr. Fuji
3 Switch
4 Gust of Wind
4 Plus Power

Energy: 23
10 Lightning Energy
11 Fire Energy
2 DCE

Okay, Bum's who play Pokémon have know the strategy, but then again, if
they play Pokémon, they would have money and therefore not be a bum but
probably a poor guy. The strategy is simple: Kill their Pokémon as fast
as you can. Pikachu can deal damage to bench while Arcanine can deal a
lot of damage just like Electabuzz. Farfetch'd is a replacement Scyther.
I've found out that Farfetch'd can be better then Scyther at some times
like when you need to deal 30 to a lone Magikarp 1st turn for a win or
if you want to damage that pesky Chansey early in the game when they
only have 1 basic.  Switch and Mr. Fuji can help you if you need help.
Put in Electabuzz when your Arcanine is out and you don’t want to
discard energy, Mr. Fuji replenishes you draw pile, and pretty much all
of the other cards explain themselves. Now, I guess that I'll tell you
the Report. Here goes.....

Round 1: Bye! I was the first one there so since there were 9 people, I
got a bye! 1-0

Round 2: Brian with a Pinsir type Haymaker

Description: He played with Pinsirs and the regular Scyther and
Hitmonchan as in Haymaker but no Buzz. Farfetch'd made an appearance in
this deck too!

Game 1: This first match was fast. Farfetch'd versus a lone Pinsir. I
won the flip and added a fire on Fetch'd and flip a heads for the Leek
Slap for 30 damage. Next turn I lay down DCE and kill Pinsir. Match
Record:1-0

Game 2: This time he got Chan and..... Da da da..... His own Farfetch'd!
I flipped and he called Tails. It was funny because the coin was on its
side and someone else on the table shook it and it was tails. He asked
me if I wanted to reflip it and I refused. I put in Buzz with Growithe
on bench and he had Chan. He had no Fighting so he put down DCE and
Oaked. I switched for Growlithe and added fire. He switches for
Farfetch'd and adds energy for Potsmash. I have to evolve and add fire.
He Potsmashes again. I add fire and kill Fetch'd and I think I got a
Pikachu. I drew a fire and put it on Arcanine and than oaked. I Billed
and got a Plus Power and something else. I added 2 Plus Powers and
killed Chan. He puts in Chansey and Scrunches and works. I play a fire
and pass. He scrunches again but it doesn't work. I take him down. He
Potions and then Super Potions adds defender and DCE and Double Edges
for a kill. I put in Buzz and Bill. Add Plus Power and Hit for 30. He
gets to thinking and Scrunches and it works. Too bad though. I paralyze
him and he's pretty much screwed up. But wait. He draws an Oak and gets
a Chan and Fetch'd. I kill Chansey and I take 10 and he puts up Chan. I
Give Chan 30 and I take 10 so he Computer Searches for Plus Power. I put
up Pikachu and Gust in Farfetch'd and give 10 to Chan. My turn because
he passes and I kill Fetch'd and 10 to Chan. He kills me and I have to
put in Growlithe and Flare. He adds defender, Potions, and gives me 40
damage. I draw a Fetch'd. He kills me and I put up Fetch'd. From there
on him nor I got any basics so with the help of resistance, I killed
him. Close call. Farfetch'd Rules!!! Match Record:2-0

Tourney Record: 2-0

Round 3: I think it was Greg with a Fire deck

Description: Just a plain Fire deck. He had told me that he had 2
Charizards, 2 Ninetales, 2 Arcanine, and 2 Rapidash. Very good Pokémon
although I wouldn't use Charizard unless I think that he would be very
good in this deck. It think he thought that this is where Charizard fit
in.

Game 1: This sucked. I started out with Growlithe and he starts out with
Fossil Magmar. He keeps on Smokescreening me and when I'm 20 and Smogs
for Poison. I can't do anything so I'm screwed. Match Record:0-1

Game 2: He gets Char and I get Electabuzz. I go first and Shock then I
Flip tails on the Punch but had a Plus Power to win. Very short. Match
Record:1-1

Game 3: This game was looooong. I was getting very bored and almost fell
asleep! Seriously! Anyway we both almost started out with a full bench.
And to make a long story short, Arcanine took out every body until I ran
out of a deck. luckily I drew that Mr. Fuji and put my Fetch'd back in.
I killed Charizard from a Take Down and a Thunderpunch. Buzz took care
of the rest. The prize from Charizard was my other Mr. Fuji. I also
noticed something about my Mr. Fuji. It's called "Mr. Fuji" without the
"." on the end of Mr. I Fujied my Arcanine and ended up winning by
prizes. Match Record: 2-1

Tourney Record: 3-0

Semi-Finals: Andrew with a Energy Trans Charizard Deck

Description: He had about 2 Venusaur and 2 Charizard plus Pinsir and
Scyther. It also had NO fire energies. He just moved the Grass to
Charizard, burned the energies, and Fire Spun.

Game 1: Tsk, tsk, tsk... He got energy screwed. 2 Bulbasaur and only 2
energies. He never lived through Growlithe. Match Record: 1-0

Game 2: Doesn't make you mad when you don't lay down prizes? He had a
really good deck, but he just couldn't go through all this. He killed my
Buzz but no prizes to draw so disqualification. Match Record: 2-0

Tourney Record: 4-0

Finals: Triple Threat Match: Brian vs. Gary (with Raindance) vs. Bum
(Me)

Description: Finals match was a Triple Threat. It was every man for
themselves. Whoever gets all of their prizes, wins and the 1 with the
second lowest amount of prizes, wins second. If the 2 others are tied,
the battle for second with 2 prize game. No Double-teams also. If
someone runs out of basics, he is third and the other 2 battle a 2 prize
game. It goes on like that kinda. Gary's Raindance is a type of
Raindance like it is now. Only 1 game was in this match also.

Finals Triple Threat Match: We shuffled and cut each other’s decks. The
lowest letter of the name of the card saw who went first. I went first
with Arcanine and then Gary with an unfortunate Blastoise and then Brian
with E for Energy. I flipped over Pikachu and Fetch'd on bench. Gary had
Lapras and Seel. Brian had to Mulligan so we both drew 2 and he had put
down Scyther and Chan. I added energy and passed. Gary had an energy on
Lapras and hit me for 10. Brian put down a Grass energy on Scyther and
swords danced. I hit Lapras for 40 and gave 10 to Seel. Lapras tried to
confuse me but failed. Scyther had to pass. I had to kill Lapras and put
in Seel. Seel gave Scyther 10. Scyther killed me but I simply put up
Fetch'd. I put down Buzz and Leek Slaped 30 to Scyther. Seel had to give
me 10 and take 30 from Scyther. I retreated for Buzz and won! You just
have to have a good strategy.

Final Tourney Record: 5-0 or 9-1

Well, even though I had a bummed deck with Buzz as a loan for letting my
friend use my Blastoise and Gyarados, it did well. Brian won 2nd and
Gary 3rd. Brian's Chan took care of his only Lapras within 3 turns. Gary
had no basics so it was over. Anyway, I got 3 basic packs, 2 Jungle, 1
Team Rocket, 1 Gym, 2 Gym Two, and 1 German pack. I pulled a Ninetales,
Scoop Up, Raichu, Non-Holo Jolteon, Holo Scyther, Bad Alakzam , Misty’s
Gyarados, Graceful Attack, Erika's Venusaur, Imakuni's Dodou (Sweet!!!),
Giovanni's Nidoking, Resistance Lowering Gym, and a 1st edition Eletek
(Electabuzz). This deck is pretty cool. I know in my Potpourri deck, I
said that I would write a Moltres Deck, but I just haven't finished
typing it up and sending it. Anyway, thanks for reading this entire
report if you did! Oh yeah it's time for Props and Slops!
