Dear Pojo,

My name Jett. I have a Killer Deck Report for you. My deck is called Hit Man! I attended a tournament at Wizard World in Nanuet, N.Y. There were about 21 people there and it was single elimination. I got disqualified in the championship round. Please do not let this stop you from reading my report. Here is my deck:

Total Pokémon = 13

4x Hitmonchan

Hitmonchan is a great starting pokemon! For one fighting energy he can do 20 damage. For two fighting and one colorless energy he can do 40 damage.

4x Electabuzz

Electabuzz is great against high power/ high hit point pokemon. Send out Electabuzz when a huge pokemon is terrorizing your own. Try to use Thundershock and energy removals until you can use Thunderpunch while the enemy is weak! For one electric energy Electabuzz can use Thundershock which has a chance of paralyzing and does 10 damage. For one electric energy and one colorless energy electabuzz can use Thunderpunch which does 30 damage and a chance of 10 extra damage.

3x Scyther

Great to use right after you scoop a Chansey. The tactics are to scoop a damaged Pokémon, put up Scyther, put the damaged pokemon back on you bench, then retreat Scyther for free, and attack the opponent with your newly healed Pokémon! For three colorless energy Scyther can do thirty damage!

2x Chansey

Chansey is a great Pokémon. It can withstand most attacks. Don’t us Chansey for stalling, use him for attacking the Pokémon Hitmonchan and Electabuzz can not beat. Chansey is definitely a game saver.

Total Items = 21

4x Energy Removal

2x Super Energy Removal

4x Bill

3x Professor Oak

2x Gust of Wind

3x Scoop Up

3x Potion

Energy = 26

3x Double Colorless

13x Fighting

10x Electric

Now here is the Report…

Round One… DING DING

Me vs. Keyavash

This person I was facing played a mystical deck. I got a Hitmonchan, Chansey, Electabuzz, Double Colorless, Fighting Energy, and a Scoop Up. He got an Articuno, Dratini, and Water Energy. I play Hitmonchan and he plays Articuno. I draw a fighting energy, attach to Hitmonchan, and Jab. He draws a Zapdos and attaches a water to Articuno. I draw another double colorless and Attach it to Chansey. I also jab for 20. After about 5 turns he has knocked out 1 pokemon and I knocked out two. He then knocks a Hitmonchan with Zapdos and draws a prize. I play Chansey and Double Edge his last Pokémon, Zapdos, with 20 damage on it and kill it. He has no pokemon left so I win.

1-0

Round 2… DING DING

Me vs. Spoiled Brat

This kid was bragging about how much his deck was then everyone else. He had 4 Charizard in his deck. I knocked them all out with my Chansey and a little bit of help from Potion and Scoop Up. He had a hissy fit when he lost and called me " a doo-doo head."

2-0

Round 3… DING DING

Me vs. Wizard World Employee

This round was probably the easiest yet. He brought out some pirated fake card that he made an printed. He called it Killer and looked like an Alakazam with Knife. It had 150 H.P. but had lousy attacks. I got lucky and had a charged up Chansey by the 3rd turn. It took two rounds until I won.

The Championship… DING DING

Me vs. CHEATER

This kid was the son of the judge. He got away with a lot. We had similar decks but instead Electabuzz and Scyther he used Snorlax and Hitmonlee. Every turn we exchanged blows… we each had a prize left. He had Snorlax with 60 damage and I had Electabuzz 60 damage. I use Thunderpunch and kill Snorlax. But I still have a coin flip left. It is tails!!! NOOOOOO!!!!! We now go into sudden death.

SUDDEN DEATH

This CHEESED ME OFF!!! We each had one pokemon left. He had a fully charged Hitmonlee and I had a Chansey with 80 damage. My only move is… Double Edge. It is another draw. The judge’s son throws a hissy fit and cries. The judge then disqualifies me for trying to ANNOY HIS SON!!!!!!!! WHAT THE!?! THAT IS SO NOT FAIR!!! THAT MAKES ME MAD.

I had fun until the judge disqualified me. Oh well… I hope you try and like my deck, it is really good. It was undefeated for over 20 matches until I got disqualified. If you want to e-mail me my address is jett@kdf.com so until then, Good bye.
