This tournament
was held at Bay City Cards Green Bay, Wisconsin and there was 21
participants. It was 12-28-99
5th Degree Burn
WARNING: If you do not
wan't to dimolish your opponent in agony and deafeat I recommened not to
read on or copy this deck because this deck has so much power that you
yourself can not handle. But for those of you who want to see the
power of 5th Degree Burn proceede but may I tell
you......... you have been warned.

another stall deck, this bull crap" this is what you are probablly
saying to yourself right now. Because you hate stall decks
right. Or maybe you hate playing AGAINST stall decks, but how do feal
playing with them eh. 5th Degree Burn is a stall deck
that relies on Moltres Wildfire attack instead of that stupid Alakazam
combo. Combined with some tid bits 5th Degree Burn has a
lot of potiental in the tournament scene. And man is this deck ever
fun to play too, you basically control the whole game in your hand the whole
time. Enough chit chat lets go on. So with no further a due here
it is 5th Degree Burn.

Round 1-Me vs. John
He didn't even kill one of my pokemon. I had a Moltres out, kept on
Wildfiring and when he would do damage I would lay down a Pokecenter
or a Scoop Up. With 7 cards left in his deck I used up my last
Imposter Prof. Oak wich narowed it down to 1 more left (1 card left in his
hand). His turn, picked up a card did some damage and then I won
because he decked himself. 3 pionts.

Round 2 Me vs. My Brother Matt
I felt really bad for him, he had a Promo Mewtwo out and I had my Chancey he
did 10 damage each turn then when Chancey was full of damge I used a
Pokecenter. While that was happening I was pumping up my Moltres.
I Scoop up my Chancey and bring out my Moltres with 16 energy under him, did
wildfire and won. 6 points

Round 3 Me Vs. Dan
He was playing a Haymaker with Hitmonchan's and Scythers. Good for me
because I have a resistant of fighting with Moltres. Knowing this I
put Moltres out right away, with no suprise he brings out a Hitmonchan.
I pump up Moltres, but instead of doing Wildfire I did Dive Bomb, I miss the
first time but I connected the second time. He brings out a Scyther
and Gust of winds my Chancey he does 30 to me, no biggie right. No
way, after my turn was over he brings out a fully powered Hitmonchan and
with a plus power he kills Chancey. Then I answer with a connecting
Dive Bomb. He brings out the Scyther and does 30. After that I
seen that he only has 1 basic pokemon left so I Dive Bomb. Heads hes
dead I win once again. 9 points

Round 4 Me vs. Billie
Billie was one of those kids whos parents bought him every pokemon card ever
made. He was the most cockist kid I ever met. He thought he new
everthing about pokemon. Well Billie kept on bragging on how his
''deck was better then mine''. It was just a stupid. It all
center around Raichu's. And he thought he could run his opponets out
of cards by Raichu's Agility attack. He got so mad at me because he
thaught my deck was a way of cheating. Once I was talking about how
Computer Searches are so good and then he eves drops a conversation I was
having with my third round apponet Dan. He says,"Computer
Searches suck, Maintenence is a lot better. My brother looked at him
and then looked at me and said what idoit. Oh well back to the match,
he had a Promo Pikachu out and 2 other Pikachus on his bench. He
elvolves two of his Pikachu to Raichu and doesn't lay a energy under either
of them I guess he was enrgy dry. My turn, I layed an energy under
Moltres and started to do Wildfire. That's what we did for most of the
game but he got some energy and manage to do Agility a couple of times, but
in the end I Wildfired him to death. Not so tough after all. 12points

Round 5 Me vs. Mitch
He was playing a Raindance deck, nothing much to fear here only my Magmars
has weakness to water. But you would not believe what happened all i
got was 1 Magmar AHHHH! Thank God he only had a Squirtle though.
I won the flip, and right off the bat I did Smokescreen. He lays a
energy under Squirtle and try to do Bubble........ it does hit me for 20 but
there is no paralyzation. My turn lay a Chancey down then I lay a
energy under Magmar and do Smog heads I win. The coin is in the air
and it is ..........................
tails, damn. He does Bubble and it does not paralyze me. Then I
doe Smog for the win. 15 points 5-0
Championship Game
Round 6 Once agian I Play Billie(this guy is really
annoying me)
He started out by bringing out a Pikacu(regular),
and he had a Eletricbuzz and a Zapdos on his bench. I won the coin
flip. I had a Chansey out and a Moltres and a Magmar on my bench. WIth
a Scoop Up and a Mr. Mime and 2 energy. I picked up a card and got a
fire energy a started to pump up my Moltres. It went on until he was
about to kill my Chansey when i Scooped him up and brought out my Moltres by
that time i had 8 fire energys on him,I layed down Mr. Mime then I did
Wildfire with 8 energies. After that he brought out his Zapdos and
killed my Moltres with a plus power. I bring Mr. Mime out and pick up
a card, the card I picked up was Moltres I
started pumping him up while his Zapdos can't hurt me Mr. Mime. After
a whole bunch of turns I bring my Moltres out with 14 energy under him and
did Wildfire for the Championship.
For winning I got a 35 dollar gift certificate to there store aint bad for
paying only 5 bucks.
