Hey PoJo, please post this in you r killer deck section...

Hi, I'm back for this year's new years tournament down at Gateway Comics
and More in Erie,PA. I decided to go with a new deck for the new year, and it
is based on the quick and deadly Machoke. Not only can he wreak havoc on most
colorless pokemon ( he can kill a chansey with one submission ), but he can
kill almost everything else. Though most pokemon with fighting resistance
kill him, I planned for this and gave him backup in the form of psychic's
fine basics...Jynx and Drowzee. Well anyway, there was about 11 people in
this tournament on
January 2, 2000. I wonder why there wasn't as much as usual.....

Here's the deck...

13 Psy Energy
13 Fighting Energy

4 Machop
3 Machoke
4 Jynx
3 Drowzee
3 Jigglypuff

4 Potion
3 Bill
3 Switch
3 Super Potion
2 Professor Oak
1 Pokeball
1 Comp Search

Here's the report, the tourney was single elimination

Round 1 vs. a Damage Swap

This match is the reason I mentioned that Chansey killing theory before. I
started with Jigglypuff and a benched Machop and Drowzee. He had an Abra
benched, and an active Chansey. I started pumping my Machop, while he did the
same with his Chansey, while he conviently evolved Abra. By this time I had
three energy on my Machop and he killed my Jigglypuff. I went in there drew
an oak, and got rid of my hand. I drew two Potions, a Jynx, a Machoke, a
Switch, and two psychic energy. I killed off the Chansey, and out came
another one.  As he started pumping, it became my turn. Submission. Another
Chansey bites the dust. He has no other pokemon benched so here comes
Alakazam. He plays a Kangaskhan this turn, and lays an energy out on
Alakazam. I knew I couldn't kill him in a turn and he would just swap damage
away. I switched Machoke in favor of my Drowzee, Confuse Ray, and flip a
heads. At this point the game is mine. Alakazam can't swap the damage away,
and would be killed next turn. The poor enegryless Kangaskahn felt the wrath
of Submission.

Record 1-0

Round 2 vs. Anti - Raindance Deck

A pretty good deck, and it almost took me out. He started with an active
Scyther, a benched Electabuzz, and a Fossil. I had a Drowzee, and a benched
Machop. This was really not what I wanted, because he took out Aerodactyl on
turn two. No more Machoke :^(  Well you have to work with what you have and I
decided to beat on everyone untill a Jynx could meditate my troubles away. I
managed to get Scyther to retreat in favor of Electabuzz, after a few turns
of confusion damage. This is when my Machop wrecked a couple of Electabuzzes.
He didn't put energy on any of his pokemon except his Kangaskahn that he was
hoping could step on some weak squirtles. After all was said and done, I
really didn't need Jynx, and finished him of with Machop, Drowzee, and
Jigglypuff.

Record 2-0

Round 3 vs. Exxegutor Deck

Due to the shortage of people, this was the championship. Neither of these
decks really belonged ( i was expecting an early exit with this deck ). He
started with Exxegute and a Chansey. For a couple of turns, I had a machop
with three energy out, and he kept removing the energy with Scoop Up /
Teleport, Potions, or Poke Center while he pumped Exxegutor. After two Bills,
I had my Machoke and took down the Chansey with a  Submission.  After this
the match was all down hill and his Exxegutor had about 10 energies on him.
He easily one hit ko pokemon after pokemon as he sliced threw my deck. It was
a nicely played game by him, and he deserved a win.

Record 2-1

Well, I didn't expect the second place I received ( I got a holo snorlax and
electrode ).
If the tourney had more people I probably would have gone down early. It was
fun playing this deck, I usually only use it against my little brother. Well
thanks for the time.
