Hey Pojo. You of course know that you rock but I'll tell you anyway. You guys
kick @$$!!!

OK this is a killer deck report. Today (2/20/00) there was a normal
tourney at Super Hero City: Comics & Cards in the Bunker Hill Plaza in
Washington township NJ. The tournament fee was $2 which is really great (so I
hear). There were 6 rounds then 2 finals but no-one ever told me what the
prize was .

Here's my deck: Bench Cooler
  Energy
1   DCE
13  Psy
10  Fighting

Poke'mon

      4          Gastly (f)
3         Haunter (f)
      2       Gengar
2   Chans
2   Lees
2   Mime
2   Drowzee
2   Hypno
1   Chansey

Trainers

2   Traders
3   G.O.W.
2   Switch
1   Oak
2    Bill
2          E.R
2          S.E.R.
3   Energy Search

Round 1
Me Vs Buzz-Scyth-Chan Haymaker
My hand was something like 2 Gastly 2 Psy energy and a bunch of trainers. I
took first blood with Gastly versus Chan too easy. But then he brought out
buzz then scyth over and over using scoop-ups about 3. He had 6 prizes to 2
when the slaughter was over
0-1

Round 2
Me Vs. Deck that looked like mine but + electabuzz -Gengar
I got the whole Gengar line in my hand Awesome! I al so got an energy for
lick but I don't get any more for a while. It started Gastly (f) Vs. Gastly
(f). I won this confrontation by evolving into haunter. I then recall an
enemy haunter and electabuzz.
I then Gengar-ed, cursed, gusted and dark-mind-ed for the win ( no enemy
active)
1-1

Round 3
Me Vs. VERY lucky Haymaker
Gastly (f) dies to fully charged electabuzz with a
+ Power on the second turn . @#$*#&!!!
1-2

Round 4
Me Vs bad Haymaker
This guy had 4 sycther, 2 buzz, 2 Chan, 2 scoop-up and 2 energy. Once Gengar
was out he made quick work of all the scythers a buzz and a Chan .
2-2

Round 5
Me Vs. fighting-electric
This little kid played diglet; it was sad. Gastly/Haunter finished it in 3
status changed turns. By then he had a buzz with one lightning energy (with
the help of 2 comp search) after 4 turns of him flipping tails on sleep, I
evolved and dark-mind-ed  for the game
3-2

Round 6(If I win I'm in the finals)
Me Vs. Yet another Haymaker (It's getting boring)
My Gengar was ripping through his Chans and Lees until scyther killed my
weakened Gengar. I decided to use my (only bench) charged Mr. Mime I meditate
for 10. Then he attached a plus power and said slash, game. I said hello
invisible wall. He says you didn't call it and I ask him what he's talking
about. He called the judge over and he was right tournament rules or
something. He wins by a technicality. That sucked!
3-3

<ed note:  I encourage you to print this out and give it to the judge who made that ruling: =)  -Scott

Dear Madam or Sir,
You are an idiot, and have no place judging a Pokemon tournament if you can not make a simple ruling like using Mr. Mime's Invisible Wall.  Everyone knows it is a continuous power that always works and is "always on" when the Pokemon is not paralyzed, confused, or asleep, no matter what.  This is the proper ruling even at the highest level of judging  For all your rules questions (and if you don't have that one right, I suspect you'll have quite a few others wrong) I encourage you to e-mail me at Scott@pojo.com.  It really upsets me to see judges like you make rulings like this.  I don't care if it is your tournament.  You're giving us legitimate judges a bad reputation.

If you can't tell - this is a personal pet peeve of mine.  Also, anyone else who knows a judge who made this same ruling?  Print it out for them too.>

I didn't win but mainly because of the Poke'mon Powers thing.

Now the famous props and slops

Props to my friends at the tourney for letting me rip them of so I now have
my no retreat cost deck made.
