Hey Pojo, what's up? I just played in a tourney on saturday, Feb 26 at Mega Comics in Gainesville Fl.  I placed second, and i played a new haymaker potpourri. it's pretty good, and here it is!

as most people know, this deck when played well has no real weakness. Haymakers are demolished against this deck. anyway, i lost to a well made ~Aeromaker~. my best friend AJ won the tourney against the guy that came in third. the four top decks were all hay/beatdown decks. Anyway here's the report!

 

Round 1 vs.  phantom punch

   this was easy. mr. mime vs promo mewtwo. I won

Round 2 vs. haymaker

   this was harder. i started w/ mr. mime and magmar, him scyther and electabuzz. He played electabuzz and i magmar,  computer searched for a gust o' wind, and he lost his scyther(he didn't know it had free retreat?). I then poisoned his electabuzz and smokescreened my way to victory...

Round 3 vs. raindance

   he started with a lapras and articuno, me scyther and `chan. He went first and waer gunned me. i jabbed. he water gunned. i jabbed. this went on until he was dead, then i retreated for scyther. DCE and his turn. he layed an energy and back over to me. I lay a fire and slash. he still cant attack. slash again. freeze dry.... praylisis. i draw magmar. he freeze dries again.... no parylisis! i slash for the kill, but he had drawn a squirtle. with the trusty help of a plus power squirtle died for the win.

Round 4 vs. poison deck

   he started w/ nidoran male, me w/ scther and mime. i mimed him for the win.

Round 5 vs. potpourri

   uh-no! this was strange. he started w/ magmar and 'chan, me mewtwo and mime. I started mewtwo, and he started magmar, and i mewtwo. I comp. searched two psy energy for another mewtwo. He eventually lost his magmar but mewtwo died from poison, so my other mewtwo absorbed to secure the win next turn.

Round 6 vs. AJ w/ ~Aeromaker~

   I made this deck, and my own creation killed me. We both started w/ one 'chan. I went first and jabbed. it went on like this until he played a TEAM ROCKETS HITMONCHAN!!!(jap. was allowed in the tourney, although most people don't have them) I was screwed. whatever i did he doubled w/ counter! i was a goner after 2 rocket 'chan's. lucky mime stepped into play to begin a VERY short reign, as AJ had an unstoppable force.

the tourney was winner-takes-all, so i didn't get anything. i did buy a basic pack in which i got a..........................BLASTIOSE!!! I thought i did well in that pack. Anyway, this is Ross, signing off.
