This tournament was held at Schumer's Baseball Cards and Comics on Sat.
Feb. 12.  In Dayton, OH.  The tournament allowed Japanese cards, but only if
there was an American equilivance.  In this tournament there was about 15
people.  They were split up into seniors, and juniors.  You play 3
round-robin games, and the 4 highest in each division went on.  The winner of
the Seniors played the winner of the Juniors.  My deck is at the bottom the
page for all those who are interested.  Here is my report:

Round One (Verses Cody)
I had played this kid a few times before and was wondering which deck he
would use.  I soon found out that it was the biggest stall deck.  Probably 52
physic energy, 4 Mr. Mime, and 4 mewtwo.  I started out with a scyther, and
some energy, and a Professor Oak.  I won the flip.  I laid a green energy and
did swords dance.  His only basic was a mew-two.  He attached a purple.  I
comp. searched for a double colorless, did slash for 60, and ended the match
in about 2 minutes.  So much for a stall deck
Record  1-0

Round Two (Versus Hanz)
Hanz had an all fire deck.  I was a little worried that I would draw a
scyther early.  Luckily I started with 3 energy removals, and a super energy
removals, and a scyther.  He made a few mistakes, and was kept low on energy,
until I killed all the basic pokemon he had out.
Record 2-0

Round Three (Versus Greg, my brother)
Talk about being worried.  He had beaten me in a previous tournament, and
I was worried he could do it again.  My hand said the game would be over in 2
turns, but luckily it went longer.  I started with just a Mr. Mime.  He had
machop, and hitmochan, I was almost done, but when he had no energy I knew
that i had a chance.  By the time he had gotten any energy I had killed his
only basics.
Record 3-0

I went 3-0 in the round-robin, and was one out of the 4 ho qualified for the
Senior division.

Round Four (Versus Jeremy) (Semifinal for adult league)
This was a good opponent who I was glad I didn't have to face in the
previous rounds.  His hand was grass, and electric, and his Muks had my Mr.
Mimes worried. He was a very good player, and had me close to not having any
basics out, but I collected my sixth prize before he could finish off my last
guy.
Record 4-0

Round Five (Versus Dillon) (Finals for adult league)
Dillon had a solid fire/water deck that I knew could beat me, but somehow
I ended up winning.  It was pretty even most of the match, the prizes were
close the entire game, but he ended up decking himself after using a few
professor oak.
Record 5-0

Round Six (Verses winner of younger group) (Finals for whole tournament)
Since my last match went a long time the juniors tournament had ended a
little earlier.  So when I finished Dillon, I was faced my 3 choices.  The
prize for winning the tournament was a box of basic booster packs.  I could
either stop now and split the box 18-18 with him, battle where the winner got
24, and the loser got 12, or go for all the marbles.  Since the youngster had
been watching me play, he wanted the 50/50, or the 2/3, but I wanted it all.
He had a pure Rain-dance deck, and I was only worried about him getting
Blastoise out quickly.  My fear quickly diminished when I got my "Perfect
hand."  Scyther, green energy, double-colorless, energy removal, and few gust
of winds.  I put scyther out, finished off a few of his basic, and then got
out fully charged electabuzz to finish off all his water, and beat him.  I
won 36 basic booster packs.  I gave 3 to my brother, 3 to my friend who was
there watching me, 3 to his cousin who had been watching the entire thing for
3 hours, and 1 to the kid that I had beaten.  With my 26 packs I got
Blastoise, Chanset, Gyrados, Hitmochan, Mewtwo, Nidoking, Poilwrath, 2
Raichu's, and a lot of trainers, and non-holo rares.  I cant's believe I won,
and hope next time hope I can do just as well.  Thanks to all those who
entered.
