Hey all you pojomaniacs.  I just recently went to tournament with about
thirty people there.  It was located at a local store in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Prizes would be awarded in four areas: under ten got twenty dollars, 11-14
got twenty dollars, and over fourteen got twenty dollars.  Then the overall
winner got thirty dollars.  Here is the deck I used:
<editor's note:  The "e" on the keyboard is not THAT close to the "i".  Please watch it!  -Scott>

3  Alakazam
3  Kadabra
4  Abra
2  Mr. Mime

2  Machamp
3  Machoke
4  Machop
2  Hitmonchan

2  Chansey
1  Kangaskhan

2  Prof. Oak
3  Poke center
2  Pokemon breeder
2  Poke trader

2  Couble colorles 25
14 Fighting energy
9  Psychic Energy

The main goal of this deck is to get out an alakazam on the bench, a big
fighter as your active, and some big pokemon on the bench (chansey,
kangaskhan)  and then, well, win.  In your first match, it is decided by
random, but then on out you play each other based on your record.

Round 1-
I had played this fighting pyschic deck in a tournament once before, but i
wound up getting 2 wins and two losses.  Well, since then i made some
changes, and i was ready for this tournament.  In the first match, i was
playing against a blastoise deck with other pokemon for backup such as
gyarados and scyther.  I got a good hand ecxept for no energy.  I managed to
get out five pokemon on the bench including alakazam, and machamp out on the
front lines, but by then my opponent had gotten all but one of his prizes and
had a blastoise out doing sixty each turn.  I kept moving the damage back and
hoped for a poke center, but none was to be found, and finally my luck ran
out.  My opponent got a gust of wind and knocked out my hitmonchan for his
last prize.
Record 0-1

Round 2-
I was already worried this tournament was going to be a repeat of the last
one i went too.  But, i was already entered and kept playing.  This was my
hand: chansey, abra, three energy, an energy retrieval, and a machamp.  My
opponent was stupid and all he had was a venonat out and i saw he had a
tauros and poliwag in hand.  I quickly saw his lack of basic pokemon, and got
four energy on chansey by the fourth turn and double edged him for the win.
Record 1-1

Round 3
In this round i played against a fighting colorless deck with ryhorns and
wigglytuffs.  We both started out pretty slow.  The only pokemon i had in my
hand was a Mr. Mime, and he had a diglett.  He got to go first and attached
an energy and did ten damage to me.  Then i attached a psychic energy and
told him to go.  Then he attached another energy and did 30 to mr mime.  But
then I quickly filled him in on Mr mime's power, and had to no damage to mr
mime.  Luckily that turn i got a machop, and attached another energy to mr
mime.  As the match went on, I got out what my deck was supposed to get out;
a machamp fully powered, an alakazam on the bench, a pokecenter in my hand,
and two chanseys on the bench.  He had gotten out wigglytuff doing sixty to
me each turn, but i quickly destroyed it in one swift stroke with machamp due
to Wigglytuff's weakness to fighting.  Then i kept ponding away with machamp
and got the win.
Record 2-1

Round 4
After winning the last match, i went over to see how my friend was doing.  He
was doing good with the nidoking deck i made him, but then i got my first
glimpse at the mulligan mewtwo deck.  I knew that to win anything i would
have to beat that deck, but i did not have any energy removals in my deck.
well, to my dismay my friend lost to the mulligan mewtwo deck and then i got
to play my third round.  I won really quickly in this match.  I got the
perfect hand: abra, alakazam, mr mime, chansey, poke breeder, psychic energy
and prof oak.  I played abra and chansey on the bench and put an energy on mr
mime.  the next turn i got out alakazam and played prof oak.  i got a pokemon
center and a couple energy so that basically wrapped things up.  I showed my
opponent my poke center, and he just forfieted.
Record 3-1

Round 5
By this time, my age group had four people in it who were 3-1 and we had to
play each other to see who won the age group.  I had to play the MULLIGAN
MEWTWO DECK!  I almost decided to forfiet, but decided that i would play it
to the end.  I got a hitmonchan out and joked to my opponent that i had four
pluspowers, and he really got shook up.  As you can imagine, i had all the
time in the world to get pokemon out.  I got a machamp out with about 6
energy.  By then my opponent was just drawing and hoping he got psychic
energy.  He later told me he put in too much trainers that in the worst
situation he would be out a psychic energy for one turn.  That happened, and
i destroyed his mewtwo.  But then he had three left with no energy on them,
but i destroyed them as easily.  I later told him he should have put an
energy on the mewtwo on his bench, let me kill his active one, and then he
would be barriering again.  So i won, and had to win one more match for that
twenty bucks.
Record 4-1

Round 6
In this round i had to play my best freinds brother.  He had one nasty water
deck with blastoises, poliwraths, and gyarados's.  But, you just can not beat
my deck with another evolution deck.  I quickly got up a machamp and
alakazam.  I needed two prizes left, and my opponent kept using amnesia which
made it so i could not attack until he stopped using it.  He then built up
energy, and got out poliwrath and dealt my machamp forty and discarded one of
my energys.  but i had enough energy in my hand to last.  I quickly beat his
poliwrath and then another one of his pokemon, and then he got really mad.
Well anyways, i did the impossible.  After losing the first round i new i
would have to win all of the following matches.  But i did, and evern beat
the mewtwo deck, which proves no deck is invincible.

With that i got a holo snorlax and a couple pokemon packs.  In the packs
i got my fifth imposter prof oak, and a blastoise.  Well, i hoped you enjoyed
the report, and will actually look into this deck.  But now with muk,
aerodactyl, and more pokemon with resistance to fighting, you have think
about this before building the deck.  Well, i hope to write many more
reports, and please mail me on how you liked or did not like my report.
THANKS!!!
