Hey-
I went to a toys 'r' us in Everett Washington (State.) I thought for the
most part i did well. there were some close calls, but i was able to pull
through.  This turnament had about 35 people at it.

My deck:
Growth v.1.0
24 pokemon
4xNidiran
3xNidorino
2xNidoking
1xKoffing
1xSyther
4xPinser
3xGrimer
2xMuk
1xSnorlax
2xClefairy
1xClefable
9 trainers:
1xpokemon trader
1xpotion
1xpokemon breeder
1xSuper Potion
1xSuper Enegry removal
1xenergy removal
1xfull heal
1xrecycle
1xenergy retrieval

4 Double Colorless Energy
23 Grass Energy

This deck has gone through a lot with little change.....

Round 1-
  Me vs. "Derik" (psy)
HE stated out with a Jynx.  I stated out with a Pinser.  After that things
got easier.  I drew a celfairy, and than a clefable.  Following that he
killed my pinser. I was able to get a grimer, so as soon as i got my pokemon
trader, i got a muk.  And as his psyhcic has many pokemon powers, he was
defenseless. I easily killed him losing but my starting pokemon....Pinser

Round 2-
  Me vs. "Ryan" (fire/elec.)
I thought form the start that this would be a tough round.  He sent out 1 of
his four electabuzz in his deck.  I had to start with a nidoran.  I was able
to draw a Nidorino followed by a pokemon trader so i was able to get NidoKing
before he killed me.  Unforunately, he was able to kill Nidoking with his
full heals and potions. No matter i had a clefable, and a Muk waiting to get
their chance.  I saw that "Ryan was looking to get his Charizard.....but it
was no mach as it could not do fire spin so i HAD to have fire.  Al that he
drew was double colorless and electric.  I was able tofinish him off later in
the game lossing a pinser, the nidoking, and evne my muk, but by that time
charizard was gone......I beat Charizard with little effort.

Round 3-
  Me vs "Eric" (water/fighting)
Not exactly a good thing for me.  In this game , my colorless were usless!
So, when i got my had, what do ya know, i got a Snorlax...Yikes.  No matter,
i had a trader and an evolution card in my hand...muk.  The next turn i got a
nidoran, so i traded for a nidorino so i could evolve him.  I knew that my
Snorlax was all but dead. This is why i "pumped up" Gimer/Muk.  And so, as i
copntinued to defat his pokemon, wiht my Muk, and those following him, i was
lent to victory...YEAH!!
this was not good for my colorless, but in the end, my grass prevailed!

Round 4-
  Me vs ???? (Grass!)
What a nighmare game this was...grass vs grass!  He sent out a tangela while
i started out with  a grimer.  I was abot to do nasty goo to him, while i
waited for a muk.  Fortunately for me, he did not have any colorless pokemon
to metronome....bad for him, i did!! This was great. After i killed his
tangela, he sent out a pinser with no energy, so i did a pokemon trader and
got a Clefairy, and kille him in two turns......This was a fairly easy deak.
Wit ha little more work, my apponant may have been harder to beat.

Overall, i thought the deck did pretty well. In this turnament, no Japes.
were allowed, as many did not have the counter parts to go off of.  Grass all
the way, with Colorless to back em up! And the muk makes pokemon with powers
usless, especially good for Ditto! If you have questions, contact Doug at
