Name- D. Dalton
Place- Name of the Game, San Diego, California
  Date- Jan. 29, 2000 ( I know it's a little late for a January tournament
report)

This is my first tournament report ever, but people have had tournament
reports from this store, ( A. Hafstrom, W. Meyers??). If you ever read A.
Hafstrom's report, the Clefable Maker, it says I lost to him. Okay, I wanted
revenge on A. Hafstrom, but he didn't show up this time, but his friend Will
showed, who also did a report, but for his deck Rolling Thunder, and won the
last tournament, so I was ready to battle my way through my opponents hoping
for victory. It was best 2 out of three rounds per opponent and then there
was a final four and finals like most tournaments. About  9 people showed up,
and actually, this was the first DCI sanctioned ever I think because the
store owner handed out the membership cards. But anyways on to the tournament.

Basic Wave

3 Fossil Magmars
3 Hitmonchans
3 Jigglypuffs
2 Wigglytuffs
2 Scythers
2 Dittos
= 15 pokemon

Trainers:
3 ER
2 SER
3 Gust of Wind
2 Comp. Search
2 Super Potions
1 Pokemon Center
2 Energy retreivals
2 Item Finders
3 Bill
2 Oak
1 Gambler
= 23 trainers

Energy:
3 DCE
10 Fire
9 Fighting

The goal of this deck is simple, use the big basic pokemon to get early
prizes until Wigglytuff shows up then reak havoc on the opponents pokemon
till it's all over. Also, this deck can stall as well with pokemon center and
Gambler.

Match #1 vs. Sean with Scott Gerdhardt's Sponge deck.
Round 1: I got Jigglypuff and chan in my opening hand with an oak and
energies. Sean had promo Mewtwo and Buzz and sent out mewtwo as his opening,
I sent out Jiggly. I Oak  on my first turn and get energy retrieval,
Wigglytuff, 1 DCE, Magmar, ditto, and 2 fire energies, and start filling my
bench and lullaby Mewtwo. Sean ER's me right away and eventually I get
Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff and get a couple prizes until he knocks out Wiggly
with electabuzz. Too bad though, because I get Hitmonchan jabbing away and
knock out the rest of his pokemon.

Round 2: He starts off with Ditto, and I get Scyther, but as fate would have
it, he also had scyther in his deck and benches him. Well to make this long
story short, we eventually get tied on prizes 2-2. So what else to do but
stall!! I stall with Ditto and Sean Oaks like 3 times which made me realize
that if I could hold out for about 10 or more turns, I would win. Now there
was a bigger problem, my bench was hurting, BADLY!! I wasted both my Comp.
Searches and was hoping for a pokemon center to show up. Thankfully 2 turns
later I get a pokemon center and actually saved it until my whole bench had
like 10 hp each. I used the pokemon center and I got the win by Sean Decking
himself !

Record: 2-0

Match #2 vs. Ben with Lighting Deck

Round 1: Ben gets an early advantage on me when he gets his Aerodactyl up
before I get Wigglytuff, so I use Ditto and gust of wind in for his Aero and
start wing attacking him thanks to a fire E and DCE. By my next turn his Aero
was winged down and now I could get Wiggly ready. But there was one thing I
didn't count on, Energy Removals and Super Energy removals, and Ben comes
with a fully powered Zapdos and starts ER'ing both my Wigglys and eventually
Thunders both my Wiggly's to death. But I still had pokecenter and an
item-finder in my hand so I started trying to stall because he oaked himself
a couple of times. But I didn't realize that I had Oaked as well, but I
Billed as well and was running out of cards. So I decked myself before Ben
does.

Round 2: Almost exactly like round one except I try to get Wiggly out faster
and destroy his fossils before they evolved, but he had electabuzzes to stall
again. But now I ran into his energy removalsand he started Er'ing me and
item-findering and gusting to stall, and eventually I deck myself again, Aw
crud.

Record- 2-2

I had one last chance to make it to the final four, but the only way to do
that was to win the next round.

Round #3 vs. Twan( I think that's how you spell it) with weird Movie Mewtwo
hay with rhyhorn and electabuzz

Game 1: I open up with a hitmonchan, jiggly, oak, 1 DCE, 2 fire, and 1
fighting energy. I start out hitmonchan, and twan uses electabuzz. I get an
easy advantage over Electabuzz and knock out another electabuzz with
hitmonchan. but after that, Twan unleashes Mewtwo but can't get any psy
energy for Mewtwo, so I retreat chan for jiggly and start pounding Mewtwo
until it's out and twan has no more basics.

Game 2: a little tougher, but I pull through. I get Magmar this time and
start him out as my basic, and twan gets a Electabuzz. I smokescreened him
once and eventually smogged him twice with no poison. Strangely enough, Twan
has a hitmonlee ready and retreats buzz for lee. I luckily got comp. search
in my hand and searched for a bill for some reason, I can't remember. But I
use bill and get a DCE and Ditto, so I lay ditto on the bench, retreat
magmar, slap a DCE on Ditto, send him out, and stretch kick to buzz for a
prize. I oaked my next turn and filled my bench ready to pump up wiggly and
scythers and hitmonchans as well. Then he sends out Rhyhorn and tries to leer
but fails to work. I knew somehow I needed to build up scyther and get ditto
to retreat somehow. I have three trainers in my hand, ER, Gust of wind, and a
super potion. I start building up scyther with a DCE when Twan retreats
Rhyhorn and sends out Hitmonlee again with switch. My next turn I use a fire
energy and high jump kcik hitmonlee. He does the same to me. Then I retreat
ditto and send out Scyther and attach a Fighting energy and slash to lee. To
conclude this match lets just say scyther tears the bench apart to win.

Record- 4-2

I'm in the final four placed in 4th place. Here are the standings, #1- Suni,
#2- Will, #3- Ben, #4- Me. Sean almost got in but I had a better record by 1
match. It's Ben vs. Suni and Me vs. Will

Match #4 vs. Will with a Wiggly Deck as well?
Okay, Will's Wigglytuff deck won the last tournament undeafeated, I was
looking to shatter that. His deck however was mixed in with grass pokemon.

game 1: Will gets 2 Scythers, I get 1 ditto and 1 magmar. I already saw this
deck earlier so I sent Magmar. Will won the flip and he oaks and fills his
bench up completely with grimers and jigglys. I was in big trouble. So I
billed and got Chan and gambler, I retreat scyther and bring out Chan with a
gust for jiggly and jab for 40. Bad move, he got a DCE and evolved a diffent
jiggly on his bench into wiggly. I quickly ER'd it as soon as possible, and
killed the other jiggly, very bad move. He sends out wiggly and attaches
another DCE and uses pluspower on me to kill chan.  Later through the game I
was losing on prizes me having 3 left and him having 2. I had no choice but
to use ditto, and waved for anothe prize. But sonn after he had another
wiggly and trashed my whole bench with Gusts and I lost.

Game 2: This one was very long, and to cut it short, Will ends up oaking like
3 times and It oakd 3 times as well with item-finder. But thanks to an late
game gambler, and pokemon center, I win by Will decking himself with like 2
prizes left.

Game 3: Very bad, I get 2 Dittos, him, a grimer. I had no choice but to send
ditto. But miracles happen, whenever he used sticky glue, he always flipped
tails, and I flipped head on a couple. But very soon he had MUK!! I was
screwed!! I had only 1 chance, and that is if I get another basic pokemon.
And it's......Bill?? So I use bill and get.....HITMONCHAN and a SER. I
retreat ditto with a DCE he already had and sent out chan and SER'ed Muk with
another nergy Ditto had, and jabbed my way to victory!!

Record 6-3

Well it turns out Suni beats Ben so I think Will plays Ben for 3rd and
fourrth, and I play Suni for first and second.

Match #5 vs. Suni( Twans Father) with VERY DANGEROUS HAYMAKER!!
His haymaker is like twans, but much better, with sythers, and fossil
ghastlys.

Game#1: NO MATCH, I had to leave cuz' my Dad came and I had to forefit to
Suni. But at least I got second.

I got 13.50 SC and got 5 bossters with an extra 5 dollars I used with the
SC, and got 4 basic and 1 fossil. In them were Chansey, Gyarados, Devolution
spray, Comp. Search, and a non holo Zapdos in the fossil. Also, I sent this
deck in to the Pokemon Lady's Lab and she wanted a report as well. Now it's
time for props and slops.

Props:
Props to all the pokemon in Basic wave for knocking out so many other pokemon
Props to Name of the Game for a great tourney
Props to Will for having a great deck and some very good matches
Props to Twan for trying so hard and doing good as well, he also nearly got
into the finals.
Props to Suni for having a good deck
Props to A. Hafstrom for not putting me in his slops but his props instead.

Slops:
Slops to Sean and Ben, for not making their own origional decks and having to
copy other peoples decks.
Slops to Ben for just stalling in his deck
Slops to me for no getting the cards I really needed in the boosters.

I basically had no regrets with this deck. This deck could pretty much take
on any deck. Actually this deck acts like Chipmunks Active stall deck because
Magmar can smokescreen and because of pokemon center and Gambler. But I
wanted to make some changes to this deck. If you want to send any suggestions
about this deck, mail me at DJD59@hotmail.com

                                                Hope this gets on Pojo's
killer reports!                                                             D!
