On Feb. 7, 2000, I participated in a DCI
santioned tournament at the gamekeeper in Torrance CA. I have several decks
that are great but I never thought this deck would be good because I built it
while I was half asleep! Anyway, I call it Mewlectabuzz.

1 Mewlectabuzz
vs Raindance
Never underestimate a squirtle! Any way I got a Mew, and an
Electabuzz. Plus an electric(E) energy and two phychic(P) energies, plus two
other cards. I sent out Electabuzz. I called heads and he went first. He
knocked out my Electabuzz with Squirtle!! He was always getting heads?! Anyway
to make a long story short, I won by devolving weak pokemon to death.

Round 2 Mewlectabuzz
vs A Recharge deck
I drew out a Tauros, Jynx and a Fossil. Plus 4 P's. He got
a Scyther and two Promo Pikachu's. I lost the toss. He sent out Pikachu, and I
sent out my fossil. His theme idea is to get pokemon stock with a bunch of
energies fast. Anyway soon enough Tauros had 2 energies, and I got a Mew. Well
he had a Base Raichu out killing almost all my guys. I sent out Jynx (my last
Pokemon) and Meditated to kill Raichu. He sent out Scyther and slashed me. My
HP was down to 40. He retreated and sent out he Promo Pikachu and I lost. The
saddest part about this is that he is one of the worst players there.

Round 3 Mewlectabuzz
vs Overgrowth
Easy win. This was a deck fresh out of the box. All I had
was an Electabuzz and some energies, plus potions. Not much to say but
Magikarp, and Weedle were gone fast. I won.

Round 4 Mewlectabuzz
vs Water/Fire
Easy win. I got 3 Mews and 2 P's plus a
defender and potion. All I have to say is that a Magikarp did 60 damage!
Anyway as soon as I got my Electabuzzes, I won.

I had a good time and i
got my thunder badge. I spent the rest of the league playing Pokemon Yellow
