Hitmonbuzz's Revenge:
                                The Wrath Continues

Hey all.  My last deck didn't get posted because of the pictures I included
in there, but here is the same deck, at a different tourney.

The Deck:
4 Hitmonchans (fast kill, can't be affected by ER's!!)
4 Electabuzzes (same as Chan, but can paralyze!!)
2 Scythers (No room for 4, but still have the great Farfetch'd play)
2 Jigglypuffs (Mr. Mime killer!!!)
3 Mysterious Fossil (Um. . . Next Pokémon!)
3 Aerodactyl (No evolution, baby!!!)
4 Bill (they're Bill for crying out loud!)
4 Energy Removal (Pretty effective if you can pound'm with all at once!)
3 Mr. Fuji (I thank Pokémon Lady for telling me to put these in)
3 Professor Oak (Same as Bill)
3 Super Energy Removal (More effective than ER!)
12 Fighting Energy
11 Electric Energy
2 Double Colorless

Note: I'd like to say that I invented this deck long before Fossil came out,
using Apprentice, and started playing it as soon as Fossil came out.  This
means that no, I am not copying anyone's deck idea.

OK, now you've got the deck, time for the report:

Pokémon League
Borders South
2/3/00
4:00 PM
25 People

You know, at our Pokémon League you only get 20 for winning against a Gym
Leader.  You should get more!  Well, basically everyone knew me there, but
they weren't expecting my deck.  I spent the first 10 minutes trying to get
two Hitmonchans, because I borrowed the ones I used at Top Deck (last week's
report).  Finally, I got one kid to trade me a Hitmonchan for a Ninetails,
but no one else had one up for trade, so I went and bought a Blackout.  This
kid then came up and asked if I wanted to play. I said yes, so here it is:

Round One:
Colin with Plant Deck

I started by sending out Electabuzz.  I killed two of his Pokémon with him,
but he killed me with a Bulbasaur after I had 60 damage on Electabuzz.  I
then sent out Aerodactyl.  Stupid, stupid, stupid!  I retreated Aerodactyl
after Bulbasaur had done 40 damage to him.  I drew another Electabuzz, and
sent him out.  After I got enough energy on him, I Thunderpunched the game
away!!  He was helpless.  I killed his Bulbasaur, and he sent out his only
benched Pokémon, Tangela.  I killed Tangela, and he had his last basic,
Ekans, on his bench, so I killed him for the win.

Record: 1-0

Round Two:
Nick with Plant deck

This kid was fairly easy to beat.  I had Hitmonchan out, had a benched
Aerodactyl, and he didn't have any basics over 40 HP.  I first Jabbed his
Venonat, and he Stun Spored, with paralysis.  I waited my turn, attaching a
fighting, and he did Stun Spore again, but no paralysis.  I attached an
Electric and killed him with Special Punch.  He sent out another Nidoran, did
Stun Spore, and I killed him with Special Punch.  He only had a Nidoran Male
left on his bench, so he failed at his Horn Hazard.  I killed him and he lost
of no basics.

Record: 2-0

Round Three:
Josh with Articuno Rain Dance

He only had an Articuno out.  He couldn't find any other basics.  I sent out
Electabuzz, Thundershocked, with paralysis, and he attached an energy.  I
attached an energy and Thunderpunched, but I hurt myself.  I eventually get
him down to 20 HP (I say eventually because he kept using Potions and Energy
Removals) and he kills my Electabuzz.  I have 4 Hitmonchans and 1 Electabuzz
on my bench, so I send out Electabuzz and Thundershocked, with paralysis.  I
then Thunderpunch him for the win.  Three no basics wins in a row?  Okay. . .

Record: 3-0

Round Four:
Josh with Articuno Rain Dance again

This was an intense match, but short. He had out a Blastoise against my
Hitmonchan, and he had to leave.  Okay, I guess I win that one.

Record: 4-0

Round Five:
Matt with Rainbow deck

This kid didn't know how to play, so I let him get by with a bunch. I killed
his 2 Pikachus with my Hitmonchans, drew two prizes, his Golem with my
Scythers, his 2 Wartortles with my Electabuzzes, and his Hitmonchan with
Aerodactyl.  I kind of felt sorry for the kid, so I didn't act real happy
when I won.

Record: 5-0

I need only 20 points to get the Thunder Badge, but I did get two Mews, and a
bunch of good cards in trading, like Mr. Mime, Lapras, and Movie Promo
Mewtwo.  That was a fun but short league.  My next report will be longer.

Time for Props and Slops!

Props:

Props to Rebecca for being an awesome Gym Leader.
Props to the kids who traded me Hitmonchan, Mr. Mime, Lapras, Mewtwo, and the
others.
Props to Josh and Al for not being mean to the little kids.
Props to Borders for still having a supply of Mews.
Props to Borders for hosting the league.

Slops:

Slops to the kids who wouldn't trade me because I don't like Japanese cards.
Slops to the parents who forced the kids to trade.
Slops to Borders for having expensive theme decks and boosters.

Thanks,
Talon
