My deck was in a local tournament at a card shop in Snellville, Georgia. There were 16 people there in a single elimination, classic bracket-style tournament (you know, 16-8-4-2-Champ). I made it to the finals and lost to my friend. I'll explain that more in a bit, but I got to walk home with $15, so I made 10 bucks profit on the day... I was happy. My deck might be a lot like other decks, but I made it all on my own, so it's my name. First Match: I played a guy with a mono fire deck. His whole deck revolved around getting out Charizard, who in my opinion, kind of stinks. Anyways, by the time he finally got out a Charizard, my Hitmonchans and Dugtrios had already killed 4 of his guys. I finished off his Charizard and killed his Magmar to win the match. He only got to draw 1 prize. There were now 8 people left. Second Match: I played a guy with a mono electric deck. I really shouldn't even have to say much because his Raichus and Electrodes were weak to me along with all of his other guys. Anyways, I finished him off quickly with Hitmonchans. Onto the final 4. Third Match: I played a guy with another fighting deck. It was a lot like mine. It didn't have the Clefairy/Clefable part, but instead, Cubones and Marowaks. Well, I got out my Hitmonchan to start and loaded up a Machamp on the bench. It was pretty close, but my Machamp just seriously opened up a can. I had a little help from my Clefables and ended up winning the match, but it came down to the last prize. Finals: I played my friend! Ahhh! Well, he used his best deck, a grass deck, and we both knew he'd probably win. Well, the same thing happened that normally happens when we play each other. He got out his Scythers and in the end, won it. Don't worry. I put up a fight and drew 4 prizes, but those Scythers were ticking me off. Well, here's my deck: 27 fighting enegy 1 oak 1 energy removal 1 gust of wind 2 bills 2 potions 4 Hitmonchans 1 Chansey 3 Clefairys 2 Clefables 4 Digletts 3 Dugtrios 4 Machops 3 Machokes 2 Machamps My name is Devin Rees and my e-mail address is oodevin@aol.com.
