At this Tournament in Chester about 16 people entered and there was 4 rounds, the fourth being the championship match.  It was a single elimination tournament.

Round One:

I played someone with a Grass/Psychic Deck.  My first hand i drew meowth and jigglypuff a bill and the rest were energy.  I chose Jigglypuff as my active pokemon so i could by myself sometime with lullabye.  He had a bellsprout and a tangela, tangela was his active pokemon.  He didn't attack his turn, so i went and picked up a charmander, and put it on my bench.  Then i activated jiggles, and his lullaby and put him to sleep.  He went again and still couldn't attack but put a paras on his bench.  I went and picked up a charmeleon, which i quickly evolved, feeling lucky i used bill and got a charizard and clefairy.  Tangela woke up but couldn't do anything.  It was all down hill for him from here!  i picked up a switch and evolved charmeleon into charizard, and switched it with jigglypuff.  I beat him three minutes later, he didn't even put down one energy.

Round Two:

My friend played the person i was playing in round two and lost, during the break between rounds we talked and he told me he had a Water\Lightning deck that at least two blastoise and a few reichu.  So i went into my second round match expecting to loose, unless i could get a charizard within 4 turns, it was a long shot but i tried.

I picked up my first seven and there was charmander, Pidgey, a computer search and bill, the rest were energies.i started with pidgey as my active pokemon and put charmander on my bench.  He started with a voltorb and no other pokemon in his bench.  I went and activated charmander with one of my energies and used bill, up came a switch and a charmeleon which i evolved.  Then i used my computer search to find charizard which i held in my hand.  I used switch to put in charmeleon.  He felt threatened and put down a clefairy doll and retreated voltorb, wuss.  Then i got another bill and used it to get two more fire energies which i used to activate charmeleon's flamethrower, which i used to kill clefairy doll.  He then went and used a gust of wind to bring in pidgey.  But befor he did that he activated voltorb and his tackle and used it against charmeleon.  I went and drew a jigglypuff.  i had to discard and energy from charmeleon's flamthrower so i couldn't attack.  he put down a squirtle and used tackle.  I went and drew an energy which i used to kill voltorb with flamethrower, the prize i picked up was a pokemon trader. He went and used a bill which gained him a water energy which he used to activated squirtle.  i drew a clefairy andput him on my bench, all i need was one more more **** energy and i would  be one of the final four.  He went and drew a lass which forced me to show my charizard, not like it mattered anyway, and i discarded my pokemon trader.  he had a hand full of potions and scoop up's.  so i went and drew the energy i needed an beet him sending me to the final four of the championship tournament.

Round Three:

I played a girl whos was around 13, who had a leaf deck.  This would be cake if i could get a charmander in my hand the first turn.  She went and put down an oddish as her active pokemon and weedle.  I got a clefairy and a computer search with the rest being energy's.  She activated her oddish and evolved into gloom and activated himw hich seemed pretty foolish considering  she could have activated stun spore and drawn first blood, i looked to capitalize on her mistake.  i activated clefairy and used computer search to look for a charmander, what why not clefable, because both of her pokemon were weak against fire.  so i put down charmaner and activated him and took out clefairy.  i could of activated scratch but i waited for the next energy so i could get rid of gloom.  She used a pokeball but the coin flip was tails and it was once again my turn i drew a trusty bill which i used to get a revive and another bill, which i also used to get the energy i needed, i got two fire energy's.  i used the first combined with the other two from my first hand to attack gloom doing double damage due to the weakness, killing him.  My prize was a persian.  She put down exeggute and activated weedle's poison sting and attacked but the coin flip landed on tails again so i wasn't poisoned.  I went and drew a clefable. i used my last energy to kill weedle and i picked up another fire energy as my prize, she was done unless she could get another basic pokemon.  she activated exeggcute leech seed and used it leaving the valiant charmander with only ten damage left but she was thrwarted but my flamethrower once again and our hero, charmander, won the match.

Championship:

I played a person my age, 15, who had a fighting/water/ pyschic deck.  I drew a first hand of crap!  A meowth was all besides a trusty bill and energy's.  A put down meowth and she had a fullbench on the first draw she had a drowzee as her active pokemon, two jynx, an abra, a diglet, and a goldeen.  What kind of deck is this, pure garbage!  She started off and activated diglett.  I went and drew a persian, saved!  Using bill i drew a pidgey and a pidgeot.  I put down pidgey and i actiovated meowth and evolved into persian, activated pounce.  Leaving drowzee with 20 damage.  she couldn't do anything, so i went and drew a gust of wind.  Using pounce i killed drowzee and picked up a pidgeotto.  She brought up her diglett and activated dig doing ten damage to my persian, ahha but puince reduces the next attack by ten which brings her damage done to a grand total of ZERO!  I go and draw an energy which i use to activated pidgey.   Using poune i kill diglett amnd i pick up and energy as my prize.  She goes and brings up a jynx.  She then puts down a magikarp.  I figured dhe had to have a gyarados, i mean what idiot has a magikarp but no gyarados.  So i go and draw an energy, i used gust of wind to bring in magikarp.  I use my energys to evolve into pidgeotto and then pidgeott.  I attack with my pounce ridding myself of the gyarado problem, if there ever was one.  I drew another energy as my prize.  She brings jynx to the active position and activates him.  i go and draw another energy and i attack jynx leaving him with 40 hp remaining.  She goes and uses a gust of wind to bring in my active pidgeott.  i pray for a bill i draw, not a bill, but a computer search which i use to locate bill which i use to gain to more energy's which i use to activate whirlwind, HA!  i attack , but whirlwind sends jynx back to her hand and she brings up goldeen?????   She has a goldeen,a jynx, and an abra left.  She can do nothing and i use whirlwind sending goldeen back to her hand.  She never brough the jynx back down??  What an IDIOT!  She goes and brings up jynxx and activates him and his doubleslap but it does only 10 damage.  again she forgets to bring down her pokemon i sent back to her hand i draw another energy retreat pidgeott and bring persian back in.  I use pounce and do thirty damage to jynx.  she uses doubles slap which does twenty but once again pounce brings that down to ten.  I draw a clefairy,  i put him on the bench activate him and i have one energy left.  I use ppounce again to bring jynx's hp to 10.  she uses doubleslap which would have done ten but does nothing because of pounce.  i draw my last bill and pick up two energy's  i use them to activate clefairy's metronome i retreat persian and bring clefairy to finish of jynx with his own move the deadly doubleslap.  i pick up a potion as my prize.  She brings in abraactivates him and evolves into kadabra.  Finally some competition, but doesn't activate any attacks, maybe no competition.  i use clefairy's metronome to copy kadabra's super psy leaving him with ten damage.  She then brings a squirtle into the mix and activates him.  I attack with metronome to copy super psy aagain to kill kadabra and get my prize of charizard.  One prize to go.  She goes and activates bubble, doing ten damage, but once again tails never fails!  And i remain un paralyed.  I go and draw another energy which i use to retreat clefairy and bring in persian, using pounce i do 0 damage leaving squirtle with 10 hp left and he can't damage me next turn because i reduce damage by ten and he can only do ten damage.  she attack's any way and is succesfull but not with the coin flip, i'll say it again TAILS NEVER FAILS!!  I kill her off with pounce and i am victorious over all.  It turns out the person with the best deck in the tournament got upset in the first round.  That could have added to my victory.

I recieved $100 in store credit and a free japanese southern islands expansion pack, through which i recieved a tentacruel, pikablu, and lapras.

In cloing i would like to say that the real point in my deck is to suprise with the fire pokemon since you can't really rely on trainers in this deck. the best thing i like about this deck is that it is inexpensive and most of the cards are either uncommon, or common.

Thanx for reading my email on my tournament win!
