Ok, before I begin, I want you to know I am not ripping off Brian's "Haymaker" deck... I've had this deck for 3+ months and have only changed 2 cards for Jungle. I made this deck on my own, before I even heard of Pokemon TCG sites. Now, to answer your questions This deck was used and won 1st place in a single-elimination 2 out of 3 non-sanctioned tourney in Akron, OH. There were 60+ people there. I faced a lot of decks based around Charizard and Ninetales. I also faced a water deck based around fast evolutions. Finally, I faced a Mewtwo denial deck which I beat with energy removals. "Dumbfounded" Pokemon: Hitmonchan x4 Electrabuzz x4 Chansey x1 Zapdos x1 Kangaskhan x2 Trainers: Bill x4 Prof. Oak x4 Pokedex x4 Super Energy Removal x4 Energy Removal x4 Item Finder x2 Energy Retrieval x3 Energy: Lightning x10 Fighting x9 D. Colorless x4 This deck works as follows: Quick, powerful Pokemon like Hitmonchan and Electrabuzz are used to deal damage. Kangaskhan, Chansey, and Zapdos are placed to both deal and recieve heavy damage in case the deck runs slow or powerful Pokemon are used by the opponent. This deck also cycles very fast with Bill, Prof. Oak, and Pokedex. These cards keep me from running out of Pokemon and keeping the flow of energy and energy removals. The energy removals come fast and constant because of the deck's speed. Rarely are Pokemon allowed more then 2 energy at once. The item finders can bring back energy removals or Prof. Oaks if things begin to slow down. Together, this deck's speed leads to massive energy denial and multiple powerful Pokemon on the bench, leaving the opponent "dumbfounded". I have only lost 2 games with this deck, when I get a really bad draw. I hope you have the heart to post my deck... I'll be very mad if I'm labeled as another "Haymaker" rip-off. I spent a lot of time and energy on this deck, and I feel that it is very balanced and is very powerful. I hope you agree. Peter Twieg PTwang2@aol.com
