I was playing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at Top Deck Games. I didn't really count, but I would say about 30 people participated. Sorry I typed a long list, but I had to explain the way to use each card the best. My deck contains: Pokémon: 03 Kangaskhan (Great staller/attacker, 1 energy to fetch for more, then when you get 4 energies, death to your opponet with Comet Punch.) 01 Chansey (I only put it here for it to act as a Kangaskhan) 01 Scyther (No Retreat cost and 70 HP Basic.) 03 Venusaur (100 HP,Don't have enough energies under Venusaur to Solar Beam? Pokémon Power is great! 04 Ivysaur (Here mainly to evolve, but if you don't have a Venusaur in hand, Poisonpowder comes in handy.) 04 Bulbusaur (Here basically to evolve, I dont think this really will ever be your starting Pokémon, but if so, Leech Sead is good, remove one damage counter will stall a little.) 02 Exeggutor (Best grass Pokémon I have seen! Big Eggsplosion and Energy Trans from Venusaur work GREAT together, Energy Trans all energy from all other Pokémon to Exeggutor, and flip some coins!) 03 Exeggute (Here to evolve, but if you are stuck with Exeggute with the starter do the same with him as you would with Bulbusaur.) Trainers: 04 Gust Of Wind (Mess with your opponet more, but remember, don't Gust Of Wind a Pokémon with no retreat cost, unless you kill it that turn.) 02 Energy Retrieval (Incase your Exeggutor dies with all those energy cards.) 02 Bill (Draw for the cards you need, I would have four but I alway deck myself, you know, run out of cards.) 02 Professor Oak (I only use about one per game cause I will deck myself, I just have two so they show up more often.) 03 Energy Removal (Slow your opponet down, I would suggest you only using all Energy Removal cards on bigger Pokémon, but if you think your opponet is about to evolve, go 4 it!) 02 Super Energy Removal (Slow them down more, use it the same way you would use a Energy Removal.) 04 Pokémon Center (Key trainer in the game, if you have a Venusaur in play, either on the bench or active, if you are about to die next turn, Energy Trans to a different Pokémon, and make sure that there are no energy cards under the Pokémon with energy cards, and Pokémon Center, then Energy Trans back.) Energy: 17 Grass Energy (Obvious, I would have more energies but 20 usually works.) 03 Double Colorless (Remember Kangaskhan and Chansey.) First Round: I played a little kid, he was using solid Psychic, it was over. I drew 2 Kangaskhan and a Chansey which just happen to have resistance to Psychic. It was a quicky. Second Round: I played Daniel Bryant, he had a solid Fighting deck, he has 4 Hitmochans, 3 Dragonair, and 3 Machamp in his deck, I was in trouble, all of my main starters had weakness to FightingMy begining hands was: 2 Kangaskhan, 2 Pokémon Center, Energy Removal, 2 Energies, and I went first, I drew another Super Enery Removal,he hit me twice with his Hitmonchan's Jab. I was in trouble, I Pokémon centered, next Turn he Special Punched me, and He Professor Oaked, I was in bad shape, until I drew it, SCYTHER! Resistance to Fighting. I stalled a while and then eventually won because I stalled and he decked himself. Round Three: I played my friend Jermey, he had an awsome stall Psychic deck, you know, the one with four Chansey, four Alakazam, four Breeder, four Trader, and four Pokémon Center, so I lost because we each Oaked and I billed once so I was two cards behind, I might have had a chance if I would have used my Chansey a little better, but I learn from my mistakes. I didn't get to the finals because of this loss but my deck has been doing good since then. My name is Brian and you can contact me at XIX TANK X@aol.com, if you want to hear about some of my other decks. (Oh and its xix not xLx.)
