here's a deck i played in a local tourney and (surprisingly) whooped
some major butt. i went 12-1 and lost to a psychic deck with lots of
kadabras and jynxes. this is built around stalling until your machamo
can get really big. i admit it's pretty slow but it works.

NO TIME FOR LOSERS, CUZ WE'RE THE MACHAMPIONS:
24x  fighting energy
2x    bill
3x    plus power
2x    switch
3x    gust of wind
2x    defender
1x    pokemon trader
2x    computer search
4x    machop
3x    hitmonchan
4x    onix
2x    sandshrew
4x    machoke
4x    machamp

if possible, try to get an onix out 1st, that'll stall long enough to
get out a machop. while stalling with the very resilient onix, evolve
and energize machop as quickly as possible into a machamo with 4
energies. the trader, computer search and other stuff like that is to
get out a machop even easier or maybe trade your sandshrew for a
hitmonchan. the switch is to avoid onix's overly high retreat cost and
the gusts are to get the weak into the battle. the plus powers are to
get a higher HP pokemon down in 1 shot (such as an enemy hitmonchan)
while defenders help onix in his stalling.
