My deck wins 8 out of every ten battles with friends:

My deck consists of:

16 grass energy
8 water energy (mainly because i don't have enough grass energy but it's okay 
like ivysaurs vine whip goes for 2 colorless, and beedrill's twineedle 
attavck goes for 3 colorless).
2 double colorless energy

4 Bulbasaurs (leech seed keeps him healthy)
2 Ivysaurs (Poisonpowder move kicks)
1 Venusaur ( Nice pokemon power plus move for 60)
4 Weedle (in my deck just to evolve)
2 Kakuna (80 HP impressive)
1 Beedrill (Poison sting is awesome)

1 Porygon (Conversion 1 is nice)
3 Dratini's (in my deck to evolve)
2 Dragonairs (Hyper Beam is one of the best moves in the game)
3 Rattatas (bite for 20 only one energy)
2 Raticates (Super Fang splits the defending pokemons Hp right in half)

4 Bills 
1 Super Potion
2 Pokemon Trader
2 Professor Oaks 

My strategy is to weaken an opponent with a small move like Raticates bite 
for 20 and then come in with a poison pokemon, poison him and kill him. Also 
Venusaurs pokemon power helps me get the energy under the right pokemon for 
the poison attacks. The pokemon traders are in there to help me get out the 
right card right when I need it. I usually get out a Venesaur or a Beedrill 
when I use Pokemon Trader but it depends on the situation. I don't really 
need potions or Super potions (I only play one super potion) because I have 
high HP and my Pokemon don't have any risk of hurting themselves when they 
attack.
