My name is C.Dennis (sintancos@hotmail.com) and this is the deck I used in a local tourney, I call it 4 SCOOPS OF HITMONCHAN . There was about 28 people divided into 4 pools and the person with the most wins in their pool after playing everyone in their pool. I (of course) came out as the winner. 4x Hitmonchan 4x Electabuzz 4x Machop 3x Doduo (probably spearows when jungle is out) 4x Scoop Up 4x Energy Removal 2x Super Energy 4x Bill 2x Proffessor Oaks 3x Gust of Wind 2x Computer Search 2x Item Finder 12x Fighting Energy 10x Lightning Energy Hitmos and Electabuzz are there for fairly obvious reasons. Machop is a smaller Hitmo. Doduo is better (imo) than farfetch'd for anti-fighting because he runs for free. Scoop Up really annoys people. Energy removal is just plain good. Bill and Oak are necessities. Gust of Wind helps deal with big pokemon in the way of the little ones. I'm only gonna use one computer search next time and switch it for an oak because I usually searched for Oaks. Item finder is really under-estimated by many but it lets me reuse my scoop ups or oaks or energy removal. My first 5 or 6 opponents were a bunch of little kids who were using decks that very little thought put into them. Bulbasaurs, Pikachus and Staryus don't stand much of a chance against Hitmonchan and Electabuzz. Those matches ended really quickly and I don't remember their names. My only serious opponent before the finals was using some sort of Rain Dance deck but his Squirtle was no match for my second-turn-kill-electabuzz. The second game I only had two doduos and he had a gyarados out on the 3rd turn or something. I on the other hand had two doduos and a machop by then...I then proceeded to draw energy until his gyarados wiped out my last doduo. The third game was different however as he managed to get out his Blastoise but Blastoise can only do 60 at best so my Hitmonchans and Electabuzzes stayed alive and I would then scoop them up and energy removal him and kill him finally with thunderpunch. So I had made it to the finals (elite four as some had called it). I was paired off against my friend who was using an energy-removal deck that used Polywraths and Dragonairs and of course energy removal. Unfortunately for him I knew his deck really well and knew that his 18 or something energy was nowhere near enough. So I figured I could beat him at his own game. The first game went much better for me than I expected. We draw hands, he has no basic, I draw 2 more, he puts out a basic I put out Hitmonchan and Electabuzz on the bench and Doduo as active. We flip, I go first. He flips over...Dratini! Doduo retreats, Hitmonchan comes out and administers beatings. Second game I decked myself because of his darn energy removal and my repeated oaking and billing. The 3rd game I administered beatings with Hitmonchan, Machop and Scoop Up before he could get a Poliwrath or Dragonair out. I told him he might want to put in some pokemon traders, he told me where to go (some friend). The guy I was against for 1st place I had played the week before and really mopped the floor with him. He told me he couldn't lose now because he had a deck practically identical to mine (then...heh heh) with a few things added designed to beat me (whatever that was is beyond me). Anyways my deck last week had hitmo's, machop family, rattatas/icates and some potions and energy removal but no birds, electabuzzes or bills. Well, the first game was something like the first game with my "friend", only faster. He sent out rattata, I sent out Hitmo...'nuff said. Second game my doduos waste his hitmos and machop, and my hitmos wasted his rattata and my scoop ups made it really hard for him to kill any of my pokemon. It ended 6-0 and I went home with the prize of 15 boosters (second got 5 I think) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
